Tom Jurassic Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I've yet to actually see the set myself Well that makes two of us at least! I am excited for this - I am a massive fan of the show. I own six of the Agents LEGO released in the Miles set, have three suited Agents, a bunch of scientists and technical staff as well as a custom-made four man S.T.R.I.K.E unit using Brickarms. Quote
linnormlord Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 IIRC there will be three sets in the January wave, one of which is the Hulks set (confirmed), another which is potentially the Coulson + LOLA + ??? set (rumor from a trusted source), and another set that may or may not include Spider-Man + superhero in a red suit + supervillain that is big enough for both of them (my speculation based on hints, no need to comment). Technically, we could call all three of these "comics-based sets" or very vaguely "cartoon-based", but definitely no movie sets in the Jan. wave. Not fishing for new details, just wanted to see what I have (or haven't) pieced together correctly. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I think you pieced pretty much everything in that post, yeah. Quote
Borex Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) Coulson and lola? Any more info on this set to get me hyped too? (I really don't care for Coulson) Who will be the villain(s) and is there another good guy (superhero)? Edit: hyped for daredevil and Kingpin. Very hyped. Edited August 4, 2016 by Borex Quote

Borex Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) Nobody said Daredevil and Kingpin. Huh, i thought they said a certain red superhero and bigfig villain. And that the pieces of the puzzle fell in place You know i scan these posts most of the times, because y'all sometimes speak in riddles so i don't know. Oh, wait for set names. Alright. Thanks. Amazing Bricks Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Everyone seems to be excited about coulson, but I'm sure he won't be the highlight of the new wave. There is one more set that needs to be revealed that we know nothing about. Huh, i thought they said a certain red superhero and bigfig villain. And that the pieces of the puzzle fell in place You know i scan these posts most of the times, because y'all sometimes speak in riddles so i don't know. A few of you know clearly, so please enlighten us Didn't see that red superhero part, but we don't know anything about that 3rd set. Quote
HawkLord Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm a Star Wars guy and yet every bit of the Marvel winter wave is sounding more interesting than what Star Wars has going on right now. I'm thrilled were getting so many comic incarnations in addition to the MCU. Quote
just2good Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hmmm, so the set will have a little more to it. Thanks for the info, bud! Do you know how faithful Lola is to the game representation? I know fans have already recreated that particular model in real bricks. Post the game representation. Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Personally, I couldn't really care less about Coulson (or Lola), but I know plenty of people have been wanting him (them), so I'm happy for those people. For me, once Coulson died in the movies, that was it. I tried AoS, but couldn't get into it, and the fact that the movies will probably NEVER AGAIN address him kind of seals the deal. As for Daredevil and Kingpin, it kind of seemed like amazingbricks subtly "confirmed" linnormlord's guesses. But it seems that was unintentional. Dang. I reaaaaally want Daredevil, and a Kingpin bigfig could be cool. I dislike bigfigs in general, but it seems as if they're here to stay, and I like the character. Quote

marvellegofan Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hey guys. I'll say one more thing about the Coulson set, I don't want to spoil too much for LEGO. The other "hero" fig in the set is Iron Man. And the villain is one that is not well known at all. Personally I am unfamiliar with the character. And I would agree with Sir Gareth, it's probably going to be around $30. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) ...the villain is one that is not well known... Detroit Steel. That's all I have left to say. Edited August 5, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
marvellegofan Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Detroit Steel. Well, there you go lol. Is he well known and I'm just ill-informed? I never heard of him until I saw the set. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Wow! That just happened like that! Detroit steel? Yes! Sounds like a great set. Thanks marvellegofan and Gareth :) Edited August 5, 2016 by amazingbricks Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Is he well known... Detroit Steel's certainly no A-list villain, but he appears in LEGO Marvel's Avengers: Edited August 5, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
marvellegofan Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Detroit Steel's certainly no A-list villain, but he appears in LEGO Marvel's Avengers: Ah, gotcha. I skipped out on that one. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Detroit Steel? Are you kidding me, this is awesome! You've got to be kidding me! If Lego weren't releasing a set with two big-figs already for $60, I'd take a gander that the Iron Man were Igor or something along those lines. But either way, Coulson, Lola, and Detroit Steel just made my mother-flubber day. Ah, gotcha. I skipped out on that one. It's a pretty good game, jam-packed with humor. I highly recommend it. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 ...I'd take a gander that the Iron Man were Igor... I personally expect the Iron Man minifigure to reuse the headpiece from the Mighty Micros set. Quote

Im a brickmaster. Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Yay! More Iron Man! Ooo I wonder what armor it'll be, so many possibilities. I'm guessing 2nd tier comic based at least Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I personally expect the Iron Man minifigure to reuse the headpiece from the Mighty Micros set. As do I, especially if this is a January 2017 release. I said I would guess that under different circumstances. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 That new iron man helmet would be perfect for this comic based set. It'd be a huge waste if they don't include that. Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) I'm glad to say I've never seen or heard of Detroit Steel, meaning I've got no real reason to get this set. Which is fine, since there's so many more that I do want. I've never cared too much for Iron Man variants, but I seem to have amassed a bit of a collection when I wasn't looking, and if it's a classic comic version using the new Mighty Micro helmet, but with less "chibi", well, I might have to BrickLink it. That's definitely the aspect I'm most curious about. Thanks for all the news, guys! Edited August 5, 2016 by rob-ot5000 Quote
