mediumsnowman Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Gauntletmobile That's awesome. I'm going to start calling it that now. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I hope we see that helmet used in the future. I like the original iron man helmet but I always found them to be really bulky this new helmest however is not quite as bulky. Quote
Galaad Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 The new helmet could be used for a Iron Man Mark I ? Quote
Aethersprite Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 What colour is the Thanos minifig? Dark blue? I'd like to find some proper legs for him! Quote
Sir Gareth Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) What colour is the Thanos minifig? Regular blue. Edited July 2, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote

Are we looking at the same thing? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Looks MORE bulky than the old helmet to me. Are we looking at the same thing? No, no, i was saying the new one is less bulky, hence the reason i like it. Quote
Ultron Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) Well since they're willing to make new molds for characters in these mighty micros, maybe we could get a classic antman in the future? An ant car would be perfect for this kind of thing. Edited July 2, 2016 by Ultron Quote
wesker Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Glad to see X-Men isn't completely dead and buried. Would love to see some more sets in the main line. Quote

Can't say I wouldn't like to see Ant Man and Yellowjacket classic Quote
linnormlord Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 No, no, i was saying the new one is less bulky, hence the reason i like it. Yes, I know. You are saying the opposite of what I am saying. The old helmet is less bulky and the new one is more bulky from where I am standing. In other news, do you think Lego is allowed to make Wolvie and Mags because they have before, and that's why they redo it so much? Like, less hassle to negotiate on the characters? Or do you think that the lack of X-Men cartoons on TV makes Lego think kids won't buy a set if it doesn't have Wolvie? Quote
agoodfella77 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Glad to see X-Men isn't completely dead and buried. Would love to see some more sets in the main line. This is my major takeaway. Fingers crossed for more X-Men sets!! Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Well the x men set was the worst selling marvel set of the year it came out so Lego might be trying to see if times have change and they can come out with more X men sets Quote

An ant car would be perfect for this kind of thing. That would be beyond nice. There really is no saying, though, that this helmet is just for Mighty Micros, though. Be it a full-size classic Iron Man, Mark I suit, or some other weird specialty suit. I imagine that there's room in the winter wave for comic-based sets, depending on whether they push Spidey sets off until close to Homecoming's release instead of months before. It does come out on the 7th of next July, meaning right as the summer wave starts if this year's any indicator. Summer I'd say will wind up being nothing but Spidey and Thor, though. Quote

I have the Deadpool set and it's great. I really wanted the Blackbird but unfortunately I missed out on it. It wasn't perfect but I still liked the look of it. Just the fact that it was X-Men should have made them hot ticket items. Edited July 2, 2016 by ToaDraco Quote

Well, if the success of the Deadpool movie is any indicator (2nd highest grossing film after Civil War and even with a hard R rating), character popularity isn't the issue... Quote
Aethersprite Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Regular blue. Great, hopefully this should make it easier to get regular legs. Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 These remind me of the Muppets Babies show lol 10 points awarded! For some reason, Tony's face reminds me of (Super) Mario. Go figure! In real news, these new waves look great! I'm especially thrilled with that Thanos figure! I'm not a big fan of bigfigs, so it's nice to see some parts to make an minifig version of him. As for his gauntlet, I think, for my purposes, I would have preferred a golden boxing glove, or even just one golden hand, instead of the piece chosen, but it does fit with the heavily stylized aesthetic they've developed, so no real complaints. The Gauntletmobile, obviously, is above reproach. No interest in the others this time (until I see better pictures of Mag's head without the helmet), but it's encouraging to see the X-Men show up again. Play nice, corporations. Then you can have ALL the money. Iron Man's helmet printing scares me. Way down. In my soul. Go figure. That really surprised me first time I heard it considering the characters that were included. I have the Deadpool set and it's great. I really wanted the Blackbird but unfortunately I missed out on it. It wasn't perfect but I still liked the look of it. Just the fact that it was X-Men should have made them hot ticket items. If you're truly bummed about missing the Blackbird set, I have good news! You can still get in from Toys'R'Us.com, and they're currently running 20% of all Marvel LEGO sets. Go! Go now! Personally, I liked that set a lot. The jet looked great (IMO), plus you get Cyclops and Storm, and the version of Wolvie that I prefer (i.e. masked). The Sentinel, though....well, maybe it's best if we don't talk about that... Quote
benderisgreat Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 There's a possibility new MM Iron Man helmet will be used to make original comic book version of the character, but it's highly unlikely that he will be in a set, more likely a polybag. As for the room for more comic book sets, GoTG 2 sets will be the main focus of winter 2017 wave so 4-5 sets is a given. But that doesn't mean we can't expect at least 1-2 Avenger Assemble sets. And I think we'll finally get Baron Zemo minifigure ( he already appeared in Lego Marvel Avengers)! Quote
LegoRomania Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Wow those new MMs are so much better! Iron Man vs Thanos is amazing! Spiderman vs Scorpion looks awesome! Quote
Sir Gareth Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 ...but it's highly unlikely that he will be in a set... As for more comic-based sets, GOTG 2 sets will be the main focus of the Winter Wave... Not all that unlikely. GOTG 2 sets wouldn't release until March, leaving plenty of room for more comic-based sets in the Winter Wave... Quote
Ultron Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I doubt it though. Same thing happened this year, no? We didn't start off our Lego marvel year until march with the civil war sets. Quote
tafkatb Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 The Avenjet and Iron Skull sub both came out in January... Quote
benderisgreat Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Not all that unlikely. GOTG 2 sets wouldn't release until March, leaving plenty of room for more comic-based sets in the Winter Wave... I meant 1st half of year wave. Also GOTG 2 is undoubtedly main focus of 2017, like Avengers AoU sets were in 2015. But it's unlikely we'll get more than 2 comic based sets. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) It's unlikely we'll get more than 2 comic-based sets. If you say so, but this year alone has had five... Edited July 2, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
