I mean, some day they'll break down and do it. It's all about demand on that front, since they have to make enough money to justify a large chunk of it going to Fox. Luckily they've managed to reduce the cost of making such a set now that the molds all exist (well, save for Thing) so if we keep asking for it we could very well see Marvel's first family someday soon-ish. That being said, we're going to see a lot of other characters first, like the Defenders and the Inhumans.

As well as some Lego news, Captain Uni says that the Lego figures look pretty much like those.

There was a teaser trailer for homecoming at Brazil Comic Con which should indicate a trailer soon (probably around mid-late December).

So it also clarified some info on the set that Delta described:

In one of the scenes Spider-Man stops a bank heist. The robbers are dressed as the avengers (first movies suits, kinda funny looking). 

Also, that Thor/Hulk version looks sick!

If that's how Hulk will look in a set I can't wait for it! Thor on the other hand is ok at best, but that's an early version, hopefully final version will be better.

They look great! It bugs me in the movies that Thor only wore his helmet in one scene so I'm very glad he's at least wearing it some here. This hopefully means the new fig will have a helmet as well. Gladiator Hulk will be an awesome bigfig as well, and he better have a helmet too!

Looking back at the trailer, the shot with the Milano flying through space with hundreds of drones following it, the Milano appears to be the same as the first film, so unlikely we'll have another one.

 

I also really hope that the Abilisk creature will be in one of the sets

I thought the Abilisk looks more like the monster in the Dr. Strange set than anything in the Dr. Strange movie itself so we could modify it and use that.  But if we do get one in a set they could also double as Rathars from Star Wars Episode 7 lol.

Same thoughts, but looking back on the trailer it has 2 eyes only contradicting the monster in Dr, Strange set that has 4 eyes!

but knowing Lego, they will pull the Lego Star Wars card, and re-release the Milano with updated figures for the Guardians of the Galaxy

Lego re-released the Quinjet. I'm pretty sure that they won't pass on the opportunity to revisit the Milano 3 years after the original one, especially when it's hard to come up with good material for sets in Super Hero films.

The Quinjet was heavily redesigned to suit the changes between movies. So technically speaking, it wasn't re-released. 

And I don't think it's hard to get good material in most Super Hero films, Ant Man and Iron Man 3 didn't really have much that could have been materialised, but bigger films like Avengers and GotG do. There was so much we could have gotten in sets for the first film, like Ronan's ship, Collectors museam, the Kyln, so surely the sequal will have much more, new content to offer than just giving us exactly what we got 3 years ago

I wouldn't mind a new Milano. I never got the last one and it's retired now so making another one would be fine. If they do redo it, which I think they will, I hope they make it a bit bigger even though the last one was pretty perfect.

Aye.  I wouldn't mind a small scale one myself though, similar to the Quinjet featured in the Airport Battle set.

So who else immediately thought the enemy vehicles in the gotg trailer looked like the Galador spaceship?  *shudders* I imagine we'll get one in a future set. I got the last Milano so I'm perfectly fine with there not being a new one, plus it was an incredibly well designed set, I can't imagine many improvements. I'd honestly rather get sets based on new vehicles and locations. 

I must say, the more I look at Lola in the Detroit Steel set, the more I like it. It's not perfect by any means but it still looks very good. One big issue I have though is the complete lack of side mirrors. That's rather unfortunate. They did a great job with the Coulson minifig for sure.

So I already got my dream set with the Ghost Rider team-up, would it be selfish of me to want another Ghost Rider set so soon? Before Agents of SHIELD, I had no interest in Robbie Reyes whatsoever but thanks to that show and what they've done with the character, I'd love to see a set featuring Reyes and his Charger! Given that some of the new sets coming out feature ANAD versions of characters, I think he's got a good shot.

I hope they do a new Milano, since I missed out on the last one. I was really hoping Mantis would wind up being green, but I'm hyped for her both in the film and in minifigure form!

I'm certainly on board for that! Robbie's been my favorite Ghost Rider since I read his first issue, and I was really hoping that, against the odds, that would be the version they'd do in the set. I don't know of too many other characters that can make use of the flaming head, so they might be inclined to let the Rider out again sometime down the line.
