Migalart Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Spectre MK2 Let me introduce Minifig scale recon ship with full interior. I am preparing long term project - lego sci-fi comic book and it was first "object" to be included in the book. Here is basic look of the ship: Here is the ship in comic book scenes: Before Specte MK2 I also did Spectre MK1 http://www.eurobrick...7034&hl=spectre But i decided to make upgraded version, and so is Spectre MK2 :) First version of frist episode of the comic book is here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=135775 Still lot of work ahead ;) My Flickr galery: https://www.flickr.c...hotos/migalart/ Edited July 6, 2016 by Migalart Quote
Littleworlds Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Amazing build and pictures! I like how you can open the sides and front of the ship. That makes it so much more versatile. Excellent idea! Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Incredible! I love how it all folds back to access the interior. Beautiful ship! Quote
TheWarden Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Wow, very professional renderings and editing! Yes? Or the first few actual photos of the build? The LEGO rendering programs are so good now, I've seen some I can't even tell what is real. My brain is leaning towards real. Sorry no real criticism, it's really nice work. Quote
Jim Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 This is a fantastic MOC! Your pictures are pretty big though. Can you change them to max 1024 wide? Frontpaged Quote
Migalart Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) TheWarden < This are not renders. Only Real 100% LEGO and photo camera ;) Jim < thank you very muchfor front page :) I edited pictures source. Edited July 6, 2016 by Migalart Quote
claudio_ctc Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Great work, good luck with the comic book! Greetings from Peru. Quote
romulan Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 This is the most impressive MOC, Lego or technic, I have seen in a long time. The classic space scheme is on point. Can't wait to see your future builds! Quote
kostur Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 It is a beautiful piece of LEGO art. However, to me, the MK1 appeals to me even more than your latest project MK2, as it has more unique head shape and is more bulkier than the last. It could be nice if you could use MK2 as the generic ship for troops, while MK1 for the protagonist ship as it looks like it's more memorable and agile in action. Anyway, nice, sexy, classic blue-yellowish models! Quote
BrickFit26 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I want this. The colors are amazing, the design is perfect, and the inside looks so roomy. Quote
mortesv Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 The colour grading of those comic book frames look very atmospheric - can't way to see the finished product :) As a builder of spaceships myself (mostly Star Wars) I am very drawn to your design. The contrast between large, clean plates of bricks, interrupted by purposeful greebling gives the ship a very engineered look <3 Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 What an amazing ship AND pictures! A real awesome blend of old classic space with futuristic-stylre greebling. I suppose you used greenscreen and rendered the CGI yourself? Quote
Migalart Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Zblj To create backgrounds I used free pictures available in internet. First background was made by two NASA pictures: http://www.lpi.usra.edu/exploration/education/gallery/earthsAttic/images/poster/moonSurface.jpg http://www.ourprg.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/pia16610-640.jpg Second background is more complicted - i found nice picture as free download - but it is somebody art. - I cant find the author. http://wallfon.com/walls/space/the-asteroid-belt.jpg Quote
