Posted July 10, 20168 yr I really don't know how to explain what I'm looking for. I want to add some movement to my creations. Specifically, how the police men move back and forth in the video for this creation: http://www.brothers-brick.com/2016/07/06/gotham-theater-showdown-epic-lego-batman-comic-book-cover/ Can anyone help me in this foray into technic? Steve
July 10, 20168 yr ? by Pego's Legos, on Flickr Here's a mechanism for that. You'd connect the motor (+ gearing) to the orange axle, and the figure stands on the blue axle. The black beam would be connected to the ground. The range of motion can be varied by changing the lenghts of the levers.
July 10, 20168 yr Author Thanks. Now I just have to figure out how to fit all that in a 4 stud wide wall and the motor in an 8x8 tower... Steve
July 13, 20168 yr Author Well I got it to work. Once I get my wife's iPhone, maybe I'll share a video of what I was doing. Thanks again for the help. I can feel my horizons expanding as I dabble in technic... Steve
July 23, 20168 yr Author Thanks for all the help. Here is the almost final product: Vampire Fighter I will have to pose the figures better, but it seems to be working well. Steve
July 23, 20168 yr I found Sariel's book on Technic very helpful for ideas about mechanisms and how to build them: https://www.nostarch.com/technicbuilder I also like this YouTube channel, which is loads of short animations of all sort of mechanisms: https://www.youtube.com/user/thang010146/videos
July 23, 20168 yr As David says, Sariel's book is very helpful, and there will soon be a second version with even more content: https://www.nostarch...technicbuilder2 Edited July 23, 20168 yr by SevenStuds
