blackwellj Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I love this set! is anyone able to produce instructions for this? album-72157623358969236 Quote
M_longer Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 There's an awfull rainy weather outside, so I have taken apart my Xerion and built... something. A wheel loader with a grapple for handling logs/pipes: I was trying to avoid "color vomit" effect, but unfortunatelly some parts come in only one colour. It has two manual functions (sterring and closing the grapple) and two motorized (raising/lowering the arm and moving the grapple). Motorized functions are powered trough two-direction gearbox (like in 42042) and can be controlled by two liftarms behind the cab. The movement of the arm and grapple is quite good (and managing to build it with only three small LAs was quite a challenge). I hope that I will manage to make a presentation before this year ends... N-4K0 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Good job, it looks good for the limited range of parts and colors. Quote
gmshades Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) My mods are low for now, but looking for inspiration. Black Claas Xerion 5000: With B model silage plow: Also, I ran a pneumatic hose through the chassis, so I can add a pump on 1 side, and an attachment on the other: My first attachment, a disc with fold able sides and lowering transport wheels: I was going to have a pto driven pump, but the stock pto rotates too slow. Plus, did not want to run pto driven attachments and the pump at the same time. Glenn Edited November 21, 2016 by gmshades Quote
Seasider Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 what part are the discs youve used on the plow attachment ? I'm hoping to start the slow process of ripping my model apart and modifying it the week before christmas, first job is to remove the motor and battery and front PTO (the real vehicle doesn't have one) and to try and colour match some parts/connectors Quote
Imanol BB Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Hi Seasider, this is the piece you are looking for: http://brickset.com/parts/design-2723 I hope to see your modified model soon too. Quote
BrickWild Posted November 22, 2016 Author Posted November 22, 2016 Nice work Seasider! I want a closer look at the rear towing hitch. Quote

gmshades Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 The hitch is a simple design. Used pins with stops for easy removal. Glenn Quote

Seasider Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Hi all, Sorry ask ask again but can someone post a clean link to an LDD of the original model ? Also is there an LDD for the pendular/driven front axle mod ? including the fix for the front arches I want to ditch the motor/battery and put in a lego engine and have it driven by the wheels, then try and colour match it as best as possible. hopefully will start playing over christmas Quote

paul_delahaye Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Hi BrickWild, I see a small issue with the trailer, the PTO on the Claas tractor is constant rotating, and in a single direction. You will need a small two way gearbox in the trailer to be able to handle this otherwise your LA will only go in one direction. Quote
