efferman Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 the pendular steering axle is more ore less working, but it needs some tuning on the mudguard mount Quote
Imanol BB Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 That looks really good Effe, what about to put the mudguards one stud further from the chassis? Quote
efferman Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 the problem is not the mudguard itself, the grey perpendicular connector is touching the lime 3x7 panel with the Claas xerion sticker Quote

2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 This is very cool and useful, good luck solving the issue! Quote
grum64 Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 I know this probably isn't the right place for this but hey ho. UK buyers wanting a(nother) 42054 go to Tesco Direct they have it for £90. Use code TDX-TNMP and save another £10. http://www.tesco.com/direct/lego-technic-claas-xerion-5000-trac-vc-42054/310-9532.prd?skuId=310-9532&pageLevel=sku Hope this helps some of you. Quote
Jay Psi Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 No surprises that you're the one to spot the bargain first Grum I got it a fortnight ago for £90, if only I had waited I could have saved another tenner... Actually, if I hadn't bought one already I'd be tempted to get two copies and use the £20 off code (TDX-WYMJ). It's still £80 each, but it would be a quick and easy way to get another set of the tyres, red rims and lime pieces. Quote
efferman Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 a simple solution which looks better and gives much more clearance to the panel Quote
Imanol BB Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 It looks very good Effe, maybe you could change the gray angled connector with a black one, so it would match the mudguard perfectly. Quote
efferman Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 i have choosed the grey one to make it better visible on the pictures. the final one will be black Quote

efferman Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 What do you think about this mudguard? http://www.doktor-brick.de/index.php/Attachment/17890-pendelachse-lxf/ Quote
Cumulonimbus Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 What do you think about this mudguard? Looks good, but note that by eliminating the half stud offset of the original, your fender will probably touch the chassis (the ladder and/or fuel tank part of it) at full lock. I have run into this problem while tying to fix the rubbing of the tires when the Xerion is driven backwards. Quote
Siegfried Meyer Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 What do you think about this mudguard? I think it looks more realistic and the 1/2 stud offset is still there, its just moved directly to the axle Quote

paul_delahaye Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Unless you glue the blue pins at the end of the 13 Long white beam, won't the cutting blade jiggle up and down as the PTO rotates? Quote
BrickWild Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 Unless you glue the blue pins at the end of the 13 Long white beam, won't the cutting blade jiggle up and down as the PTO rotates? In my theory, it won't. Still waiting to get my hands on that set! Quote
