SirNadroj Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 So it is my fav too. So what's about this movie? Can anyone tell something about it? Thanks! (Basic summary; I don't think there are any spoilers... ;-) ) The story was originally a broadway musical, and it was very popular. So Burton decided to make it into a movie. Basically, it is about a barber who has a great life, and a beautiful wife. Judge Turpin likes the barbers wife, so he sends the barber to prison for life. Somehow, he escapes and he is angry at the world and is out for revenge. Mrs. Lovett is the owner of a pie shop in London. Her pies are disgusting. So Sweeney Todd decideds to cut his customer's throats and turn their bodies into meat pies, so Mrs. Lovett's buisness will pick up. But of course, nobody knows that they're eating human flesh. :-D There is some humor, and there is no more than a couple of minutes between songs. It's very good, yet bloody, and is not for the squemish, as it is rated R. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Wow, another great vig SirNadroj! *y* I love all the little details, the meatgrinder is awesome! The pile of hands made me laugh! :-D Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 Wow, another great vig SirNadroj! *y* I love all the little details, the meatgrinder is awesome! The pile of hands made me laugh! :-D Thanks Capn'! As for the progress of Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shoppe: it is coming along nicely. I'm actually putting in an interior (I think) which is really a first for me. It's very detailed (the exterior), so I hope the overall structure isn't too big in scale to the minifigures. 8-| It may end up a tad to big, but it'll still look OK. The whole thing is actually one big SNOT, from the SNOTy windows, to the brick work, and the carvings. :-D Should be done within the week. But I can't photograph it til' I get a bigger memory card for my camera. After the shoppe is done, I make do Pirelli's Wagon. Maybe. :-P Quote
iamded Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 But I can't photograph it til' I get a bigger memory card for my camera. Why not delete some photos, or down the resolution? :-/ ~Peace Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 2, 2008 Author Posted January 2, 2008 Why not delete some photos, or down the resolution? :-/ ~Peace Trust me. It's a tiny card, only holds 6 pics within the res. at the smallest. I have a Curcuit City gift card from Christmas anyway. :-P Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Haha! I love it! Your MOC is ingenus, the floor tiling is brilliant with the seeping blood, the human meat pie machine is very funny too, or maybe I am just a blood thirsty pie manic? I do not think the hair for Sweeney Todd is right though, it looks to modern. Meat Pie ON! Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 Thanks for the feedback! Here are the figures from the movie, as well as some teaser pics of Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shop (Still a WIP) Teasers: "At last....my arm is complete again!" Stairs (made from chairs!) Todd and Lovett: Beadle Bamford and Judge Turpin: Adolfo Pirelli and Tobias: 1800's London Citizens: Beggar (tried my best w/ the bonnet X-D ) Anthony and Johanna: Any suggestions for the figs are appreciated! *sweet* Quote
maiq the liar Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Fixed a line for you *skull* Turpin Severus snape likes the barbers wife, so he sends the barber to prison for life. Reasoning: The guy who played snape plays turpin :D Quote
blueandwhite Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I really like the majority of your Sweeny Todd figures with the notable exception of the good Mr. Todd himself. He simply looks far too young , particularly when standing next to Mrs. Lovett. Heck, Sweeny looks younger than both Toby and Anthony. Everything else is fantastic though. I love where you're going with this. A completely original idea. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Looking forward to seeing 'the place where the worst pies in London' are made. Good stuff *y* . Quote
Username_Taken Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 (edited) Nice figs SirNadroj! What hair did you use for Signor Pirelli? U_T Edited January 4, 2008 by Username_Taken Quote
