1711902090 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 (edited) Hey guys ! Let me introduce my new MOC: the mousetrap ! Features: realistic mechanism (2 leverage systems), powered by 4 rubber bands. I tried to make it look like "Victor's" but had difficulty to recreate the spring in the middle. So I attached 2 rubber bands on each side of the hammer. By doing this, the travel of the hammer will actually stretch the rubber bands far enough so that they will produce enough potential energy. Here is the picture: And here is the video including setup process and more detailed explanation. Here are some more detailed images. Edited July 26, 2016 by 1711902090 Quote
TinkerBrick Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Nice. But don't let Sariel's hamsters come close to it. Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Nice non-vehicle MOC. I just afraid about "Victor" brand) Quote
syclone Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Very interesting moc, something very unusual. Perfect for household items collection ;) Quote
SevenStuds Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Nice interpretation. Not something you see often, which is good! BTW, does it hurt? Nice. But don't let Sariel's hamsters come close to it. They would get hold of it and use it as a "cat trap" Quote
1711902090 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Nice interpretation. Not something you see often, which is good! BTW, does it hurt? They would get hold of it and use it as a "cat trap" It is able to crack an egg, so it does hurt a little but not as powerful as the actual "Victor". If you want some serious damage, more rubber bands will do the job Very interesting moc, something very unusual. Perfect for household items collection ;) I would bury it in the bucket of legos. lol Quote
dr_spock Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 NIce. Not sure I'd want to have to disinfect the LEGO pieces after dead mouse. Quote
1711902090 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Nice. But don't let Sariel's hamsters come close to it. It won't happen since I've already part it out Nice non-vehicle MOC. I just afraid about "Victor" brand) Nice...! Thank You ! Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Awesome! And actually functional for use in real-life. Quote
1711902090 Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 was that a fish stick It's a kind snack from Korea. NIce. Not sure I'd want to have to disinfect the LEGO pieces after dead mouse. Awesome! And actually functional for use in real-life. For trapping a mouse, I would recommend the actual Victors. That is a more affordable option to go Quote
skriblez Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 This would be nice for grownups that can't read the Don't Touch Signs :P Quote
zux Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Would be good for expositions placing in between "do not touch" signs. Quote
