Hey guys !

Let me introduce my new MOC: the mousetrap !

Features: realistic mechanism (2 leverage systems), powered by 4 rubber bands.

I tried to make it look like "Victor's" but had difficulty to recreate the spring in the middle. So I attached 2 rubber bands on each side of the hammer. By doing this, the travel of the hammer will actually stretch the rubber bands far enough so that they will produce enough potential energy.

And here is the video including setup process and more detailed explanation.

Here are some more detailed images.

Very interesting moc, something very unusual.

Perfect for household items collection ;)

Nice interpretation. Not something you see often, which is good!

BTW, does it hurt?

Nice. But don't let Sariel's hamsters come close to it.

They would get hold of it and use it as a "cat trap"

It is able to crack an egg, so it does hurt a little but not as powerful as the actual "Victor". If you want some serious damage, more rubber bands will do the job

I would bury it in the bucket of legos. lol

It won't happen since I've already part it out

Nice non-vehicle MOC. I just afraid about "Victor" brand)

Nice...!

Thank You !

was that a fish stick

It's a kind snack from Korea.

NIce. Not sure I'd want to have to disinfect the LEGO pieces after dead mouse. :classic:

Awesome! And actually functional for use in real-life.

For trapping a mouse, I would recommend the actual Victors. That is a more affordable option to go

Would be good for expositions placing in between "do not touch" signs.
