The dew glistened from the nights down pour of rain. It was early morning as the Maestro and his companions traveled to another port to discuss the increase in drow raids. He was half way through his journey when he spotted smoke rising into the clouds, intrigued he lead his men closer. What stood before him struck his heart like an arrow. The house had been ransack and its inhabitants slain. The walls were charred and burnt but the heavy rain of the night had stopped the flames from spreading. The head on the pole stared at him in horror, a trademark symbol of the drows presence. This was the final straw for the Maestro, he would make the drow pay for all the havoc they had brought upon Eolas. He had already made up his mind without counsel.

This meant war.

My second Addition to my saga 'The retaking of Eolas' I decided against using only one page for all the builds as I thought it would be just more difficult. I could have done better on the house but I wanted to start on a cbc entry. I enjoyed using some snot/snac on the house and thought it worked well. I think the transition from forest/undergrowth to farmland looks good but could be improved. I probably won't have another build for this saga up so soon as I want to focus on my cbc build. as always hope you enjoy and cc needed .

I enjoy the burned look of the house, very well captured in brick form. I also love how you used the red flowers with the antennae for bloody arrows in one victim's chest. If anything, I would say that the ground could use some different textures, maybe a few more 1x1 rounds in brown or tan (or dark or light grey on the path), or something to break up the rectangles. Some round plates could be helpful too, especially on the path. But that is minor, as I like the composition and the overall build, especially the house.

Very nice work, my only suggestion would've been to use brown/dark brown for the house instead of black to differentiate between the burnt parts. :classic:

Nice work on the house ! It really gives the burning impression !

And your scene is greatly done, even if a bit bloody. The red flowers to mark the arrow impacts are great idea !

Good job !

This build is really well done. I really like the detail on the stone, the dense foliage, and the burnt sections of the house. The perspective on the first picture is great too. Anyways, if you need help defeating the Drow, I can always send some soldiers to aid you. The Drow are our common enemy, and have been a nuisance on my lands too.

Awesome, some really great touches here: the burnt out section and the interesting tree designs especially. Also, the first pic does a nice job of accompanying the story.

@Brandon Eolas is ever in new need for allies.

@Masseditor Thanks for the comment, I try to take a pic like that in every build for the saga, and I have an even better tree comming soon ;p

Very nice creation, i like the texture and the colours, but the burnt effect i didn't see it until i read for it in the other comments. :sceptic:

Maybe you should put more burned-black parts..

I find the burnt effect well executed. Maybe you could have added some smoke, built from 2x2 round plates, or using ice cream pieces and that ninjago snake piece in white. But for the building itself it's well done. Perhaps the roof could be a bit more burnt. I don't know how realistic it is that the fire stopped at one point.
