I think it's been used a radar on police stations in the 90s and is used as a radar on the new Falcon from Force Awakens. LOL. Yeah. I haven't had my coffee yet early in the morning... and that set is literally beside me. Didn't notice it's the same piece. Cheers! Quote

makoy Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Thanks @Bricknblue -- it's though to remember a piece that I came across only once from set 75105. Since I don't collect much City sets I only pick those with interesting parts so that tractor caught my attention. Quote
Roebuck Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I am betting the updated parrot mould was made for the city jungle series, since they usually do not make new moulds for modular buildings Quote

I agree and disagree at the same moment with you, Roebuck. Disagreement because there are actually exclusive parts included in modular buildings which (at least in the first year when released) don't show up in regular sets. Agreement because it would be much more profitable for TLG to use a mould with a new print in not only set. So let's see. But of course I hope that you'll be right. Btw: Do you, too, think that there'll be the wheelchair included in one of the 2017 City summer sets (of course not in the CG and JE subthemes)? Edited January 5, 2017 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Boettner Builds Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 They also updated the pirates monkey mould for the ninjgo sky pirates so I bet we'll see it in the new jungle theme!! :) Quote

It's the main seller of the set. I'd actually disagree with that notion—even if it is one of the main selling points of the Fun in the Park set, the minifig variety alone is a huge part of its appeal for general audiences. More to the point, Lego tends to like to reuse new molds like that to offset their cost. So it would surprise me greatly if we didn't see that wheelchair used again in the near future. That said, I don't know what sort of City set it'd be most likely to appear in. Possibly a large set like a school, bus station, or hospital? As a bonus, that'd keep the Fun in the Park set valid as a cheaper option for getting a fig in a wheelchair. As a side note, I'd love to see the next modular (whatever that may be) include a fig in a wheelchair and be wheelchair-accessible as well, since so many of the modulars rely on regular stairs for getting around or even getting into the buildings. makoy Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Speaking of park guys... it's confirmed we are getting Fun at the Beach! Here are the summer sets list and their prices. Note: these are Google-translated names 60153 - Fun at the Beach (€ 49.49) 60154 - Bus Station (€ 49.49) 60156 - Jungle Buggy (€ 6.99 60157 - Jungle Starter set (€ 10.99) 60158 - Jungle Cargo Helicopter (€ 21.99) 60159 - Jungle Mission with half-track vehicle (€ 32.99) 60160 - Jungle Mobile Laboratory (€ 54.99) 60161 - Jungle Research location (€ 109.99) 60163 - Coast Guard Starter set (€ 10.99) 60164 - Rescue Seaplane (€ 21.99) 60165 - Rescue Vehicle 4x4 (€ 32.99) 60166 - Heavy Rescue Helicopter (€ 54.99) 60167 - Coast Guard Headquarters (€ 109.99) 60169 - Freight Terminal (€ 82.49) Quote
Vorkosigan Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Bus Station and Freight Terminal sound like nice realistic civilian topics, always a plus. Still not much hint about what they're doing in the jungle, but half tracks are always neat. The combination of a mobile lab and a permanent one sounds very similar to Arctic. Quote
BrickJagger Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Fun At The Beach? Count me in. I'm a little iffy about the Jungle and Coast Guard related sets, they sound pretty basic. Some of the prices also look ridiculous and liable to be way off. Quote

wooster Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Is "Freight Terminal" an airplane terminal, or a train terminal? I'm hoping it's for trains. Quote

The exact word in the foreign language I used to translate could also mean Cargo Terminal, which is an airplane terminal released in 2013. Who knows.. maybe it could be for trains this time around. No guarantee until we see the picture or description. Quote
Roebuck Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Thanks for the info :) I was hoping 60156 - Jungle Buggy, was something like 60090-Deep Sea Scuba Scooter with a large animal, but is sounds like 7736 -Coast Guard Quad Bike I wonder if the Coast Guard wave will include animals as well, sharks seem likely at least, a new dolphin would be great Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Thank you very much for posting this list, makoy! No hopsital, no ambulance and no harbor theme! But yes - a new bus station and a Fun At The Beach! First of all which concerns the three stand-alone sets: After years we're finally getting a bus station - that's really cool! For 40 Euros (most common price) I bet it'll include a regular bus, a bus station, four minifigs and (for the price imo neccessary) even some nice addition like a small kiosk, a statue or a fountain. Much earlier than awaited we're getting the Fun At The Beach set (same price like FATP) - wow! I bet it'll include a similar minifig constellation like in the Fun At The Park set: two boys, two girls, grandma, grandpa, father, mother, baby, male teen, two men and three women. I hope that there'll be a very small "watchtower", an ice-cream cart, a (wind) surfboard, a sand castle, a palm tree, some sun umbrellas and sunloungers. Maybe there could even be a small beach bar. The baby shouldn't be only white again but have some printing on it. And I hope that the majority of the minifigs will wear swimming wear. As far which concerns the Freight Terminal (most common 80 Euros) I fear the same thing like makoy - for sure it'll be very similar to the one from 2013: a cargo plane (medium sized for the set's price, but could be a propeller plane), a forklift, maybe another small vehicle and some cargo stuff. A tower is for sure not included since there's already one in the Airport flagship set from 2016. Honestly said I can't imagine the set will include what I wish - namely a depot with some storage room and a small office - which is btw since long overdue. Quote
Wesley D Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 It's going to be another expensive LEGO year for me! A bus was a vehicle I still wanted for my modular street, and no doubt there will be one in the Bus Station set. I don't expect it will be possible to resist buying the Fun at the Beach set, as it took a lot of self-discipline not to buy multiple Fun at the Park sets. Curious to find out which new animals will be in the jungle sets! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Fun At The Beach better will have some Paradisa vibes :D Quote
makoy Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I think the Friends theme took the Hospital so that they can cross the subthemes somehow like what they did with Pizza Delivery Van and the Pizzaria. Quote
fordtruckin Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Fun at the Beach should include the new inflatable duck floater from the Lego Batman Movie cmf series minus the mask on the duck. Quote

Regarding Euro (€) prices, Fun at the beach is 10€ more expensive than Fun at the park (39.99€ for the park / 49.49€ for the beach). I hope we will get everything you listed ;) 7 hours ago, Robert8 said: I'm a prophet! I can see the future! Disagree : I think TLG read our posts on Eurobricks ^^ Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Which concerns the Jungle Exploration theme I'm surprised that there'll be six regular sold sets: The buggy (6 Euros) won't include much otherwise - maybe a plant and a small animal. The Starter Set (10 Euros) will for sure be similar to the one from the VR sets last year - only replace the mini vulcanoe by a small treasure and the buggy by some other small vehicle. For sure useful for getting minifigs for a cheap price. I wonder to see that there'll be a cargo heli with only 20 Euros. So there can't be much accessory included apart from only the heli. Only some cargo stuff. But I don't see any small location. Consequently I'm very critical of this set. A half-tracked vehicle is always nice. And for 30 Euros there should even be some small location included. I can't really imagine how a mobile laboratory (50 Euros) in a jungle mission can look like. At least I hope that there'll be small ruin or cave included. With its 100 Euros, the Research Location might have potential. Apart from supposably two vehicles I hope that there'll be a decent sized ruin with a nice interior and a wooden hut with a small laboratory inside. 10 minutes ago, sebitsena said: Regarding Euro (€) prices, Fun at the beach is 10€ more expensive than Fun at the park (39.99€ for the park / 49.49€ for the beach). I do hope the bus station contains a bus and a driver, not only a bus stop with a ticket machine and waiting area/seats. The business lady from the Fun at the Park set and the included bus stop-sign can get finally on the bus then . For the Fun at the beach set: since the fun in the park set contained little scenes (a picknick-scene, football-scene, a scene with an attraction for children, a hot dog-cart,..) I expect to see little scenes in this set as well. One or two kids building a sandcastle, someone sunbathing (perhaps with a bottle of sunscreen and an umbrella?), a rescuer/guard, indeed an ice cream cart,..) If it could indeed be in Paradisa-style, it would be great! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I would say fun at the beach will be similar to fun in the park with lots of minifigs the more the merrier right ? Freight terminal could be for road frieght......YES please because we only need a truck stop one day and my life will be 10% complete ! LOL Quote
