Hi guys... Was wondering if anybody would be able to help with a design for a kite? I've reached a total mind melt trying to make one that is realistic and pretty! I have an abundance of parts at my disposal but whatever I do I can't seem to make it look right.

My first thought was a string reel and a see through stand to make it up in the air...?

Would be most grateful for any ideas! Thanks you xxx

Oh my... Thanks guys :) The box kite is adorable Steve! But I'm looking to do more of a traditional kite although I do like the string you have used and might pinch that idea!

Sorry for not saying about the size... I'm hoping to make it minifigure scale so that it doesn't look out of place in a little moc I'm creating with a beach theme. The issue I had with the tow-truck string was the reel looked *huge* in the minifigure's hand!

Thanks again for the input xxx

A couple of wedge plates might work for a flat or delta kite. Or maybe some of those triangle road signs clipped on the tubing?

Maybe a shield could work, the size would be pretty good.

This "kite shield" (click image for the parts):

It has a decoration too!

. That is probably the most accurate option at that scale, there is also a more octagonal version with more rectangular edges as well, this set has it in it, though I don't have time to find it on Brick Link now: 5999-1.jpg?200507301051
