I got a look at some of the Technic sets!

42060 - Two small orange vehicles that are a truck and a small backhoe-type thing that can be hooked onto the truck. It's also a 2-in-1 set.

42063 - Blue dirtbike, 2-in-1 build, has some weird grey boxes on the back

42064 - Giant, giant dark blue/white ship with what looks like a raised helipad on front and a deep-sea explorer vehicle on the back. Small helicopter also included.

42065 - Lime green tracked RC racer, with Power Functions of course !

42066 - Big light blue and black jet with red highlights. Power Functions, and is a 2-in-1

Thank you for the info, very tantalizing descriptions.

Have you seen the 42061 Container Transport as well?

Sounds panelicious. Make them the right sort of panels so as to save me blowing 500 quid on a 41999, and the designer will be MAH NEW HERO.

Lars Krogh Jensen designed the 42025 set, whose B-model is a large watercraft, and Michael Jeppesen designed the 42045 hydroplane racer, so I'd bet on either of them being behind 42064.

more than info about what will be in 2017 catalogue, I am eager to know which set(s) will NOT be in catalogue anymore in 2017.

Is that light blue on the jet the same one as the blue on the Street Bike 42036? As far as I know Lego has several shades of light blue.

At this point I really don't mind if it's either one*, as long as TLG commit to giving us a decent selection of bits in whatever colour*. I love all blues like a wizened guitar strummer, and the devil in me will take any potential bits I can get in that range.

* SUPER-EDIT: Clarification on "either one" and "whatever colour". ALSO: I'm glad I didn't have to become a cannibal to uphold my shoddy principles

Similar to this but the wings were smaller and the fins on the back were angled upward more. There were also no 2nd, smaller fins like that pic.

hope the 42056 is still out as i havent got it yet :(

as 42056 was introduced as H2 2016, I doubt it would be discontinued in H1 2017, that would be beyond insane.

I am afraid 42030 and even 42039 might be missing next year (speaking only about "big box" sets).

Both of those are still on my "want to buy" backlog - it looks like they just went up a few slots. I remember asking in one of the suggestion threads a while back about the possibility of a new ship model, so this research vessel is definitely going on the wantlist.
