Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 The B-model of the BMW bike is most likely another BMW bike. Any bike enthusiast around here can suggest what the other BMW bike can be? Quote
AkiyamaWataru Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Nice would be a BMW R NineT als a B-Modell Quote
Cumulonimbus Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I got a look at some of the Technic sets! 42060 - Two small orange vehicles that are a truck and a small backhoe-type thing that can be hooked onto the truck. It's also a 2-in-1 set. 42063 - Blue dirtbike, 2-in-1 build, has some weird grey boxes on the back 42064 - Giant, giant dark blue/white ship with what looks like a raised helipad on front and a deep-sea explorer vehicle on the back. Small helicopter also included. 42065 - Lime green tracked RC racer, with Power Functions of course ! 42066 - Big light blue and black jet with red highlights. Power Functions, and is a 2-in-1 Thank you for the info, very tantalizing descriptions. Have you seen the 42061 Container Transport as well? Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) Like the sound of that truck set! Orange with a backhoe on the back? Sounds like a Unimog... Edited September 9, 2016 by Maaboo35 Quote
zux Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Keeping in mind 42060 is known to be 20EUR set it would be the size of just two 42031. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Sounds panelicious. Make them the right sort of panels so as to save me blowing 500 quid on a 41999, and the designer will be MAH NEW HERO. Lars Krogh Jensen designed the 42025 set, whose B-model is a large watercraft, and Michael Jeppesen designed the 42045 hydroplane racer, so I'd bet on either of them being behind 42064. Quote
J_C Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 more than info about what will be in 2017 catalogue, I am eager to know which set(s) will NOT be in catalogue anymore in 2017. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Is that light blue on the jet the same one as the blue on the Street Bike 42036? As far as I know Lego has several shades of light blue. Quote
Gnac Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) Is that light blue on the jet the same one as the blue on the Street Bike 42036? As far as I know Lego has several shades of light blue. At this point I really don't mind if it's either one*, as long as TLG commit to giving us a decent selection of bits in whatever colour*. I love all blues like a wizened guitar strummer, and the devil in me will take any potential bits I can get in that range. * SUPER-EDIT: Clarification on "either one" and "whatever colour". ALSO: I'm glad I didn't have to become a cannibal to uphold my shoddy principles Edited September 9, 2016 by Gnac Quote
Kaanere Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Sci, how did the jet look like? a) Like this (Aero L-29 delfin): b) Like this (F-22 Raptor): c) Or none of the above? Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 9, 2016 Author Posted September 9, 2016 Similar to this but the wings were smaller and the fins on the back were angled upward more. There were also no 2nd, smaller fins like that pic. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) So, its a V-tail, like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/Fouga_magister.jpg Edited September 9, 2016 by Saberwing40k Quote
kevinb120 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Like a delta wing, but with twin vertical stabilizers? Hard to imagine without canards Quote

Ondra Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Wow, wow wow!I dont know what interest me more BMW bike, tracked racer or JET! Probably going to buy this trio, but first Im interested how fast is that RC racer. Quote
J_C Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Yeah. I'm still hoping we get that fire truck... I meant which set(s) will be discontinued, that is THE question. Quote

J_C Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 hope the 42056 is still out as i havent got it yet :( as 42056 was introduced as H2 2016, I doubt it would be discontinued in H1 2017, that would be beyond insane. I am afraid 42030 and even 42039 might be missing next year (speaking only about "big box" sets). Quote

Gnac Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Lars Krogh Jensen designed the 42025 set, whose B-model is a large watercraft, and Michael Jeppesen designed the 42045 hydroplane racer, so I'd bet on either of them being behind 42064. Both of those are still on my "want to buy" backlog - it looks like they just went up a few slots. I remember asking in one of the suggestion threads a while back about the possibility of a new ship model, so this research vessel is definitely going on the wantlist. Quote
