Jim Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I'm really thinking, if TLG is to outdo themselves this year again, the next flagship can be a crawler transporter, with the same scale as the BWE. The flagship can be anything. Let's not turn this into a "or they can do this" topic. Usually when does Lego release names of 2H sets? There's no fixed date. Last year we got information (names) about the 2H sets early. There's no telling when we will get info. well LEGO usually uses nuremberg toy fair for this purpose when we ordinary mortals want to know which sets will be summer sets...just one comment; in (excelent) Xerion review Jim mentioned something about CLAAS Lexion Harvester with smaller tires at the rear than on Xerion ones - perhaps there something on it. where is smoke there can be fire. I think original sentence is like that: And what to think of a potential new CLAAS Lexion Combine Harvester with new smaller versions of the CLAAS tires in the rear. I know as much, or rather as little, as you do. So my comments are mere speculation. The Nuremberg toy fair is the place to show the 2H models. We usually have information about the sets earlier. Maybe it's a good idea to just be patient and wait for someone showing up with pics and facts? That sounds like a great idea KEEP CALM AND ENJOY THE 2016 SETS Quote
Ondra Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 My theory is that they completly overhaul that fire truck.Maybe making it second biggest set of 2H 2017.Fire truck has lot of potential to make it great seller. That preliminary design is pretty bad for official set. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Welcome to EB's discussion and speculation thread, where people will occasionally forget the rules and beg / nag for information and pictures, and Jim will occasionally appear to remind them. Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 In the catalog there were two big trucks, one had tracks for each wheels. I can't look at them now but I later. There are a lot more sets too. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Tracked truck ! Since there's already an arctic truck I think that new one is a tracked SUV for 2H. Or better yet, crawler transporter Or maybe that tracked truck is the 1H RC tracked racer... Edited September 14, 2016 by nguyengiangoc Quote

Ondra Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 What if that truck is mercedes benz truck of the future and for year 2045 as there was competition last year. One version is road version with package to make it offroad with tracks?Or there are two separate versions, but less likely. Huaojozu Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 So, since this is a speculation topic as well, anyone wanna speculate on which 2015 sets will be sticking around for another year (like the 42030 from 2014 this year)? The Arocs seems a given, but anything else? 42039 seems like a favorite and would be my bet as well. Quote

andrewganschow Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Big 2015 sets will be here till 2018, and the small ones will probably disappear in 2017 Quote

offroadcreations Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I don't know if they usually do it for Technic, but I wonder if any Technic set drawings will be shown soon, like with Nexo Knights and Ninjago. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Drawings? What do you mean by that? I don't think I've ever seen a concept drawing of any kind for Technic. Can you show us an example of what Nexo Knights stuff you're talking about? Quote
KLF Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 As I wrote somewhere - I expect in the next years this two licensed sets: - on 99% we will get a CLAAS Lexion harvester and as B-model there will be a CLAAS tractor. As usually the licences are for more as just one set and an harvester is a logical step by CLAAS licence. And as harvester is using big and small wheels - tractor as a B-model is a logical step. - I expect as a next VOLVO model an front-end loader. There are many functions on such a loaders so a great playability is guaranteed. I'm not sure if we'll get those sets in 2017 but I expect minimal one of them 'till 2019. Quote

Those concept drawings are made for the cartoon series/movies - which indeed contain official sets or variants of them. There is no such for Technic. Quote

I don't think so somehow. The Class combine sounds a bit more likely, though. About time we had a combine! If we do get another loader, I'd like it to be a Liebherr model. With Porsche and now BMW in the mix, it'd be brilliant to see more licenses added to the pot. Quote

So I don't think that we will see another front end loader. for Volvo backhoe LEGO just have to recreate pneumatic system from 8455 with new version and perhaps new tractor tires or tires with pattern like Unimog???
