Yet. What if the final set doesn't have one, but two remotes like the motorized excavator? What if the image is just a placeholder (I would say so if it looks like the one on 42065)? If my theory is (but probably isn't ) correct, the set could have three functions for drive mode, extending outtrigers to indicate changing modes and three functions for the crane. In my opinion, that would be better than manually controlling some functions and RC others. On 10/01/2017 at 7:55 PM, IJsmuts said: Ok.. mpj Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) Lego introduced the new manual pump last year in 42053, so in my opinion it will be used someway this year. From the information's we have now, could it be possible that the fire truck will have pneumatics? Or other sets? Edited January 15, 2017 by mpj Quote

BrickWild Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I can see that 42070 has 6 'Claas Xerion' tyres. Quote

I'm very sure that Firetruck 42068 is the canceled 42051 and the designer is Alfred Pederson. This set is to 99% ready for Powerfunctions because we are missing such two sets in 2017 so they have to come in 2H. The Firetruck seems to be red and I dont think it uses yellow pneumatics in it. Finally it is possible that we will see the cutted 11x5 flat Panel in red and also the 3x4x5 seat-panel in red. Edited January 16, 2017 by Timorzelorzworz Quote
N-4K0 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Seeing as 42051 was cancelled and we're now getting another fire truck related set in 42068, it seems logical to assume this is a reworked version of 42051. As there's no pics of it yet, it remains to see if it has any resemblance to the cancelled set. It's gonna be interesting to see. Quote

Cool news about the fire truck! I do remember the seat panels being white rather than red in the 42051 prelim, though. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I think we can expect a redesigned 42051 for 42068 as mentioned before. Functions seems to be manual driving and steering and a operatable boom with turning, The functions of the boom should be booth powerfunction upgradable and in the model it is enough room to hide the battery-pack and the M-Motor. Maybe we get a third surprising feature here. I also think the 42069 is something like the 42038 B-model, with a winch in the front + another function that is powerfunction upgradable. In the past we are getting models with front-winch every 3 years in the second wave. 2008 in the Jeep, 2011 in the Unimog, 2014 in the 42028 Jeep and so 2017 in the 42069. Quote

Just some examples for winch... in 2007 http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=8273-1#T=S&O={} In 2013 http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=41999-1#T=S&O={} in 2014 are more than one...like this small set http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=42027-1#T=S&O={} ...so it is very hard to make some pattern for particular system or part appearance. Nice effort but there are some other "patterns" that are not patterns actually - look what is in common with 2010, 2012 and 2014 Technic flagships (they are fully motorized) and on the other hand what is in common with 2009, 2011,2013 and 2015 flagships (motorised main functions)... example in 2007 this part was introduced (it was 30th aniversary) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=57519&idColor=3#T=C&C=3 In 40th aniversary there is model 42069 - would it mean that it will have new tread spocket wheels (for example bigger ones that could be used in perhaps new CLAAS Lexion harvester at the front???)? But important is that your intentions were good. Edited January 17, 2017 by I_Igor Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I talked about bigger 2H sets with front winch and not the smaller ones. You will see the 42069 has a PF-upgradable front winch in it. Otherwise I cancel my account ;) Quote
