KimT Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I will start on "Needful things" by Stephen King. -Aredhel That is one awesome book - IMHO one of the best Stephen King every wrote. I am currently reading the new Jan Guillou "Fjenden inom os" - something like "The Enemy within". And he's without any doubt one of the best modern authors. KimT Quote
Errorist Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 (edited) You need to get the Trilogy in Five Parts. There's a fifth part ? X-O I didn't even know that. What's it called then? Edited March 21, 2008 by Errorist Quote

Cardinal Brick Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Moonraker by Ian Fleming, a great book and much better in my opinion than the film was in the end. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 EVE: The Empyrean Age by Tony Gonzales. First book I've read in about 10 years (I'm not a big reader. ), and I'm only reading it as it's the book of one of my favourite games. Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Moonraker by Ian Fleming, a great book and much better in my opinion than the film was in the end. Oh yeah, the book far surpasses the movie. It seems sort of slow to build, but once it does, it crashes into one hell of a climax I'm almost done with Fort Pillow by Harry Turtledove. It's a novel about one of the worst slaughters of the American Civil War. Quote
Eilif Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I'm working on the following books. Cheaper by the Dozen: It's as good as I remember from elementary school. Street Signs, By Ray Bakke: thoughts on ministry and education in a rapidly urbanizing world. Quote
Tenorikuma Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) Considering that Moonraker was the lamest Bond ever, the book is naturally better, but I don't think Ian Fleming was generally as good as someone like Frederick Forsyth. I just finished Feet of Clay, the first Terry Pratchett book I've read (picked it up used); and now I'm on Hai no naka no akama ("The Devil in the Ashes"), a Japanese mystery by Jiro Akagawa.
