I used a program called Vue which was recommended to me by Jipay.

Vue is also used in the motion picture industry to create background mattes. For example some of the shots in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest were enhanced using Vue:

What programme do you use to superimpose MOC images onto these backgrounds Phessy?

I see so many backgrounds that look great but I'm still working out the VCR...

Those are wonderful !!

Looks very real.. Especially the last one.

Damn, it says IPB image :'-(

Oh dear!

What's happened? They were working a moment ago.

Oh, the backgrounds work, but the scene from Dead Man's Chest doesn't.

So no worries. :-P

Maybe their server prevents forums from linking directly to it. No matter...

Stunning results! *wub*

How much does Vue cost? I'd imagine it would be quite a few pieces of eight!

There are trial versions which let's you test it for free (with some restrictions of course), full version of Vue Easel (the simplest Vue version) costs 89 USD, or 63.06 EUR, price in euros does not include VAT. That's if you download it from their online store, with shipping the prices are of course higher.

Thanks. I'll try it out some day.

Great!

I've just been using these, and I was wondering how exactly you tell Vue to create them; do you have objects that you can position (sun, land) and textures, or do you have to tell it to use different filters in different areas?
