[Enceladus]

A letter suddenly appears in the putrid water of the ghastly marsh. Na'im hastily picks it up, and turns it over, the letters all appearing incomprehensible in his jittery state but he manage to work out the words 'lottery', 'Hero' and 'prizes'. Na'im shrugs and signs his name

Any lottery that offered free loot can't be all bad He thought to himself

As quickly as it appeared, the letter then vanishes back to its sender, leaving Na'im wondering wether the whole experience was just a very vivid daydream

In the midst of conversation and introductions, Zanna is surprised to see a mysterious parchment pop into existence in front of her. Though some of the writing is smudged, as if written last-minute for an unexpected new recipient, it is legible enough, and though the prizes were unfamiliar, the written words of the red-haired man seemed clear enough (though how his lifelike visage had come to be printed on the parchment the Selkreeth could not even begin to fathom). With a sigh and a shrug, Zannaqim signs up for the Lottery, and but a moment after her attempted signature is complete, the parchment and quill both vanish from her hands. A part of her wants to investigate further, but for the moment there are other people in the Hall, and more pressing concerns.

Terry and Sorrow enter the lottery.

Sitting at the hall Boris notes the fluttering letters and the speech from the veterans. Thinking it couldn't hurt Boris signs up for the lottery.

Out on the windswept plains of Baltarok, Skrall waits as his party prepares themselves for the battle to come. Hearing a whoosh of paper, Skrall snags one of the traditional Z-mails out of the air, reading somewhat haphazardly before signing his name and entering the annual lottery. "If only people traveled this easily."

Noting the rest of the party scribbling down pink slips, Atramor correctly deduces it's that time of the year again and signs up for the lottery.

Miderun swears it is a hallucination, the letter that falls on her face as she lies barely conscious in the Fields of Glory, but she is just lucid enough to sign up anyway.
