SirNadroj Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Hey! I've finally finished Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shoppe and Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop MOC. This is the complete MOC building. There are many features, including a detailed exterior as well as an interior, which is a first for me. Much of the building is SNOT (studs not on top ;-) ), including the windows, and some of the exterior's detail. The decal ("Meat pies, Mrs. Lovett's, Meat pies") is regular old printer paper. The stair case of the back of the building is comstructed of chairs. The interiors aren't too special, but I'm happy with how it came out. Here's the only pic of the actual building I could find, if anyone else has better pics, please post em'! *sweet* Interior with customers: Interior; empty: Barber Shop Interior: Stairs: "BENJAMIN BARKER!" Benjamin Barker, or should I say "Sweeney-a Todd" Well, thanks for looking and feedback's really appreciated! *sweet* Thanks so much! :-) Quote
Lord Beckett Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Awesome as always... once again Nadroj (I remember you don't like it to be called just Nadroj :-P ), I feel disgusted by such a brilliant creation. :-X X-D Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Good job SirNadroJ! Though I haven't seen this before, I still think it looks great! *y* I love you you did the staircase, how did you do it? :-D This combined with the Barber shop looks great! Good job X-D *y* *y* Quote
Lord Beckett Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Darn, I forgot the thumbs... X-D *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* ... once more? Alright... here we go: *y* Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 Good job SirNadroJ! Though I haven't seen this before, I still think it looks great! *y* I love you you did the staircase, how did you do it? :-D This combined with the Barber shop looks great! Good job X-D *y* *y* Thanks! The stair case is constructed of chairs, with 1 x 2 bricks of the back. The rails rest within the stairs, so to speak. It's fairly delicate, though. And thanks for those *y* 's Beckett. (Not Lord Beckett ;-) :-P ) Quote
Aredhel Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Nothing else to say then: AWSOME!!! I am really so looking forward to that movie and this MOC is really really great! -Aredhel Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 It's a strange choice for an MOC to be sure... But then who cares when it's this well done! I think the photos actually reflect the typical Tim Burton style of art direction in his movies so Sir Nadroj you really have hit the nail on the head with this one. Quote
Unknownartist Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I really like the building.. But can u compare it with a MF to see how big it is? :-$ Quote
The Kid Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Wow... this is absolutely brilliant! *y* The stairs consruction is ingenious. I also like the detail and the use of blond hair for buns :-D The windows and tiling without tiles also looks stunning. Nice work. :-) *y* TK Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) Another great MOC by the master of the vignettes himself! *sweet* The building is absolutely perfect, both the inside and the outside. I especially like the figures and all those nice details. The stairs are very well done, the idea of taking chairs is brilliant! *y* Edited January 5, 2008 by Lego-Freak Quote

SirNadroj Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm working on Judge Turpin's Masquerade Ball now, from the song "Poor Thing". It'll be small, though. Just a vig. ;-) Quote
Wout Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Looks very nice the tan hairs as buns are great. Quote
AgentRick Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Very neat! Like everyone else, I love the stairs and the windows. Lot's of thinking had ot go into this, didn't it? *y* *y* *y* *y* *y* Quote

yoda601 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 That's really nice, sir! Is it minifig scale? Quote
Dragonator Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Nice work SirNadroj! You've done a great job, the colour scheme is really fitting. I really can't figure out how you've done the windows, they look like they're all separate and just sitting in there. *wacko* Or are they held together in some way I can't see? X-D Anyway, awesome MOC! *y* *y* *y* Quote
Norrington Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Great job Nadroj! I think it turned out very good, but something dosen't seem right, but I can't place it. I hope you add more to your Sweeney Todd collecttion of MOCs soon! Quote
Captain Ka-Boom Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 You realy got the mood using random pieces like hair. I love the wall of the pie shop. Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks guys! *sweet* I really can't figure out how you've done the windows, they look like they're all separate and just sitting in there. *wacko* Or are they held together in some way I can't see? No, they are just resting there. Very delicate. ;-) Quote
lego.ryan Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Those stairs are shear ( :-X ) genius and I *wub* the meat pies! The customers are great as well. I also love how you've crammed so many details in. Very nice MOC, Sir Nadroj! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Wow - No more clear 1 x 1s for Nadroj I bet! Very well done. In fact, I only recently entered the two-story building faze of LEGO building - I still haven't progressed to stairs... :-$ *y* Quote
SirNadroj Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 Thanks Thok! *sweet* Those stairs are shear ( :-X ) genius and I *wub* the meat pies! The customers are great as well. I also love how you've crammed so many details in. Very nice MOC, Sir Nadroj! Thanks! I was actually gonna use Krabby Patties (minus the 1 x 1 plates) for the pies, but I have an over supply of Luke Skywalker hair from when I sold out multiple KB Toys' during a sale. They were overflowing my headgear/hair drawers, so I thought I'd put em' to good use! :-D Quote
