Posted August 23, 20168 yr Hi everyone! This is my first MOC. Besides the gearbox, it´s my own design. 4 RC functions: 1. Drive (L-motor) 2. Steering (L-motor) 3. Cabin tilt (L-motor) 4. Sequential gearbox N+1+2+3 (Servo-motor) The gearbox is a modified version of a gearbox constructed by DurianObried. The shift mechanism is a modified version of Jaco4´s design. It works very well and shifts gear fast. Front and rear suspension, small turning radius and working steering wheel. More pictures on Brickshelf. http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=565719 Here is a picture on the gearbox shift mechanism. To the left you can see the servomotor shifting the gearbox. August 23, 20168 yr I wonder what you have been doing previously to make it as good looking as this, very cool!
August 24, 20168 yr Welcome to EB indeed and all I can say it that this is a very neat MOC! The obvious question: how about a video?
August 24, 20168 yr Nice. Does the real Scania cabin lift the same, so thet front part moves seperately?
August 24, 20168 yr That's awesome. Not only as a first MOC but as it is. I usually don't like studded mixed with studless, but this model balances the two very well.
August 24, 20168 yr This is a very nice creation!! A nice introduction here on EB, welcome! Could you be so kind to use images with a maximum resolution of 1024 wide. 800 wide is commonly used. I recommend to use Bricksafe (or Flickr) where you can upload the hires image and link to a smaller one.
August 24, 20168 yr Nice. Does the real Scania cabin lift the same, so thet front part moves seperately? Yes, Scania's grill section moves separately from the main cabin, in order to reveal the engine.
August 24, 20168 yr Great and sleek MOC. My only suggestion: replace the exhausts... they stick out with those gears. Brick built version fits here well, see set 9397. Edited August 24, 20168 yr by agrof

My only suggestion: replace the exhausts... they stick out with those gears. Brick built version fits here well, see set 9397. Thanks! Good idea. Don´t have the parts for it though.
August 24, 20168 yr Looks amazing! And I'm intrigued to see studded Technic bricks in the chassis around the rear axle. Would love to know what design decisions were behind this.
August 24, 20168 yr Author Looks amazing! And I'm intrigued to see studded Technic bricks in the chassis around the rear axle. Would love to know what design decisions were behind this. Thanks. Two reasons. The frame is all build by these "old" beams. The old technic beams gives superior rigidity. The stiff frame does not bend when tilting cabin and the suspension works better. The other reason is that I like the rugged/rough look the studs give the frame.
August 24, 20168 yr Uau really cool MOC. Can you make instructions for the cab I really like it ( or LDD file).
August 24, 20168 yr Author That's a terrific first MOC. Very impressive. Thankyou! Edited August 24, 20168 yr by Fig850

February 22, 20187 yr Awesome truck! Really beautiful work, looks great :) And yes, to till the Scania's cabin you need to open de front grill first.
February 22, 20187 yr Nice first MOC perhaps you could use this part on chimney instead of gear 16 tooth
