Hi!

This is my Creation. It's a Minifig Scale "Piaggio Ape".

Features: Rolling wheels (DUH!), fit one minifig and can load 'something' in the back.

BTW, Here's the image of the model :

There are one more picture in this Flickr album and I've writing a blog post with some more information (also instructions!).

PS: All parts and parts colour are exist in real life!

Looks quite nice! Also the detail of the back with the rounded slope! Needed too look very carefully before I understood the shadow ;)

Thanks!

A really nice one! It would look great in any 4-wide vehicled city.

Ape means Bee, though it hardly looks as one; it was first built as a spin-off from the Vespa (wasp) and it's getting closer to its 70th birhday.

Thanks for the information! :sweet:

I don't know about that previously, actually.

Four wide city? Much better in a 6+ wide city, it is very small in reality you know! I have a "coffee lovers" Piaggio Ape myself, inspired on one I saw IRL (something like):

Haha, great minds think alike! I also created a Piaggio Apé based on the "Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas", set 76026 when the first pictures hit the web well over a year ago.

I love Piaggio's, I live in Amsterdam and there's plenty of them over here. I made a couple variations and built some for real,

like this one: https://www.flickr.c...os/tags/piaggio and I built a hotdog car as well as a Surfboard transporter. I should photograph these I guess!

For the Pizza delivery van I also created instructions using Bricksmith, LPub and Photoshop, a very tiring and time-consuming process..

I gave the bricks and printed instructions (A5) in a small box with custom art as a birthday-present to a friend of my 5-year old son, as a testcase.

Results of the test: way too expensive and time-consuming!

Here's the instructions:

And the variations:

Here's the LXF: https://www.dropbox....rsions.lxf?dl=0

LEGO's available colors of the doors, roof and mudguards are limited..

I also have an LXF for the Pizzeria that can be seen on flickr, if anyone's interested.
