mooproxy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Certain parts for some figures I'm planning on making simply don't exist in the colour I need them in. What would you suggest I do to try recolour them such that they don't look too much like they've been recoloured? Thanks. Quote
Rotundus Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I've used Sharpie branded permanent markers in the past. Black matches up real nice, red does as well... silver looks pretty good, too. I haven't had the need to try the other colors yet. Quote
Robianco Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I've used vinyl dye spray from Halfords here in the UK. I've sprayed parts in red and black and also masked areas off to create a dual moulded look (before Lego were doing it properly). It's basically for spraying up vinyl dashboards on cars but works really nicely on Lego parts too. It feels like it sinks into the plastic a little so doesn't just sit on top of it like paint. Quote

mooproxy Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 take a look at this: https://www.flickr.c...157661382133084 That looks good if I can find something in the right shade of gold. Quote
