This is part two – I'd suggest reading part one first: Wave of Mutilation

The trooper in the foyer told me I'd find the scanning crew a few hallways down.

I could hear laughter as I approached. They all had their backs to me.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.pngOkay, my turn. How can you tell an ISB spook is lying?

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Because his lips are moving, but I don't think you have the security clearance for that information, private.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png Ah, jeez, sir, I apologize, I didn't see –

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Stop talking. Specialist, what have you found?

29353137592_9f1c1e1107_t.jpg Well sir, the equipment detected a void space at the end of the hall that isn't in the building plans. We're trying to find the actuator now.

29461352645_6a5fd970de_t.jpg Almost got it, should be right about … here -

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Alright, giggles, give me your bucket.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.pngSir?

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg And your grapple. And your E-11. I have an idea.

3 minutes later …

Lucky for me no one was operating the remote turret.

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Clear. Come on down.

So – this was the lair of Agent An.

29330104852_c3313de074_c.jpg

He'd used a drive-melter on the computer console – but it looks like he left a data stick behind. Surely not by accident.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png Daaamn. That's a very respectable collection. DL-44, Deece 17 … a Plex Launcher...

29358406261_8429643515_c.jpg

If you asked me now, I couldn't tell you why I did it, but once I was sure the troopers were distracted by Goatm's armory, I slipped the data stick into my pocket.

28814322374_e154662939_c.jpg

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png He left all this good stuff behind, but it looks like he took one thing with him.

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg A hammer.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png Huh. See now, that wouldn't have been my first guess, but …

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg ...but that's why I'm the spook?

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png Hah, your words, sir, not mine.

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Yeah, well, I'm just a grunt on loan to the ISB, but there's going to be a shuttle full of real spooks here soon, and you'll find them to be less jovial than I am. So make sure giggles keeps his mouth shut.

28673997091_ce24828c3d_o.png Roger that, sir.

29403792996_e0e5eab01a_c.jpg

28645644432_2b9609ae55_t.jpg Alright, I'm sure he had a back door – once we find it we can get the scanning crew in here to do a proper search.

I was pretty sure the only evidence Goatm had left behind was the data stick I'd pocketed, but it always pays to double check.

The white tree was inspired by Goatman's tree in this freebuild.

Full sized pics can be found on my flickr.

Thanks for viewing - C & C welcomed!

It's such a pleasure to collaborate with you on Kirana and Goatm's story arcs, you obviously get Goatm so well and it's great to know the character is in such good hands.

Great use of the specter(?) "legs" for the melted console. The tall dbg slopes make a really cool wall, too. The reveal of the bunker was also very imaginative

Gorgeous! The build and the story, I'm always left wanting more!

Thanks Josh! I always feel like I could write pages of backstory and details for each of my builds, but I'm always worried they'll end up being too long.

Thanks, it's been really enjoyable for me too; I've definitely been giving your character a lot of thought to make sure I do him justice, and it's given me a lot to ponder about my own character as well. And yes, those are the specter legs under the console - I've wanted to use them for something 'melty' ever since I got them.

Ooh, another impressive build with a great story!

The upside down picture is a brilliant idea, the interior itself has a lor of nice little details too, great job!

What an intriguing story, I was eager to read what happened next, well done! Clever photography combined with the solid building techniques and you have a super build!
