Palixa And The Bricks Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hi everyone, this is the second part of my Amsterdam project: a modular canal house containing a cheese shop with bistro and a small cheese museum that explains how cheese is made. (First part: book shop) The shop area and bistro. The mezzanine is easily removable. The cheese museum on the 2nd floor. A small appartement on the upper two floors for the shop owner. More pictures can be found here. I hope you like it. C&C welcome. Quote
The Plastic Archer Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Very cool work. I like how there are different shades of cheese. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Very theme and brickwork. The little details are nice, and the buildings really give the feel of Amsterdam. I also like the usage of plates on the outside to emphasize the brick layers. Quote
pinioncorp Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Wonderful building! The alternating brickwork is wonderful, and it stands out a bit more in brown. Lovely interiors too. Can't fault it, great job all round! Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Suoerb. That owner sure loves his lime! I am wondering how the seats are made.. Can you explain? Quote
-zenn Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Those are a lot of 2x1 plates you used there... Great work, looks awesome! What's the next building gonna be? Quote
SollX Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) Suoerb. That owner sure loves his lime! I am wondering how the seats are made.. Can you explain? That is not to difficult. I think he used ixi bricks with one side stud or a hole and technic pins to attach to the side plates, and a curved 2x2 slope for the rear Verry inventive Edited September 7, 2016 by SollX Quote

iammac Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 You know this is the first time I have seen any incarnation of a shop devoted to cheese, LEGO OR NOT! But it looks great! I like those mixers on the second level. Very much 'to scale' but what do I know! I've never seen one! Great build Quote
BrickJagger Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Nice! I like the design of the green furniture on the inside. Quote
Man with a hat Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Amazing work. The building is nice but the interior is even better. Those seats are brilliant! Quote

snaillad Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Really nice set of buildings. I like how they are made with plates to give the illusions of bricks. Really charming interior details, especially that cheese shop. Well done! Quote
