Lt. Veers Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 We all have some reason we came to Eurobricks. I came here because I was fed up with the stupid topics and lack of maturity on the lego message board. Howabout you? Quote
The Kid Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Because I'm a sad git with too much time on his hands X-D TK Quote
Legoman Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 i wanted to talk with people who understand my intrests :-$ and the lego forum made no sence to me and it was so, americanized - not a bad thing, it just didn't suit me ;-) Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Because I'm a sad git with too much time on his hands X-DTK I can relate to that! X-D I stumbled across this wonderful website while searching for new Lego sets, then I fell in love! *wub* I browsed around on the website for awhile, seeing how cool some of the members are, I decided to join and make some friends. That's my story. *sweet* Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Well, primarily because I wanted tot talk about Lego, and the pirate forum here is bigger than other websites, and the forum in general is not limited to just one theme, like FBTB (Which is not necessarily a bad thing) and finally I really like the community here, it is very friendly and funny. Oh and please let's not turn this into another "because it is better than "site A" or because it is much more friendly than "site B" :-) Quote
adik_sa_lego Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 it's the only decent lego forum around. thankfully it's not for europeans only :) Quote
Freddie Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I first came here to look at all the new sets that were about to be released, then I finally signed up to answer a question-form that an ambassador had posted. What's been keeping me here is that LUGNET has become somewhat drowsy. IMO these forums here are much easier to read, not a single page for each post. But most importantly, I like it here. This site has a nice look, people are nice, friendly, helpful and have a sense of humor, news are fresh and up to date, and there are plenty of set-reviews. *y* Quote
simonjedi Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 came out of my Lego dark ages around September, tried to register to FBTB (that didn't work), lurked around there and found a link to a review here, (hoth base iirc) signed up Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I honestly forget how I found my way here :-D Must've been a google search or something. I didn't post much at first, but then I really got into it. Everything was nice and free here, not to mention the news, the reviews... Quote
jifel Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 i heard it mentioned on bzp ( where im still not a member :-$ ) typed it in and holy ****! awesome! i still went to lego but there arent nearly as many options and it takes a while for your posts to go, and i joined after stalking and here i am! jifel Quote
Wout Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) Because I'm interested in Lego, For the fun, For the newest news, For the Reviews of new sets with many pictures (Yoda) For the fun (Hinckley and Sinner) Because I have nothing better to do (yes you have, build with your lego) For nice mocs to see (and stealing ideas >:-) :-P ;-) ) and... (Bombastic music) :-D :-P I still believe in Europe! ;-) Edited January 5, 2008 by Wout Quote
LegoFranks Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Nice, friendly site, which I joined after a few months of lurking! It's all the prelim pics that drew me in! *wub* M. Quote
iamded Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I first came 'round 'cause of *yoda*'s reviews, and then realised how fun and friendly it was here, so I joined. *sweet* ~Peace Quote
SirNadroj Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Because everyone's very friendly and their input to my MOCs helps me improve them. And I have too much time... ;-) Quote
Lord Beckett Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) I was looking for pirate MOCs when I came here... a few days later I decided to register. Now, even if I don't really like most of the members (no, let's be honest, I hate all of them), I've decided to remain here, even though this forum is as funny as a filthy dead amphibian puke... how can a puke be dead, don't ask me... :-P :-D :-P EDIT: I was joking don't ban me, naughty moderator... :p) Edited January 5, 2008 by Lord Beckett Quote
Tanotrooper Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 because the news was updated very fast and regularly, and it was a "European" board. (although there are a lot of non-EUR here ;-) ) TT Quote
M'Kyuun Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I'm American, but found LugNet a bit tedious, FBTB OK, but Eurobricks, I think, has a better repoir among its members, not to mention the earliest looks at new LEGO sets, and news overall. Plus, I think it's interesting to see things from the European point of view. I'm an odd Yank, as I value history, architecture, science, as well as LEGO, Macross, and Transformers :-D over the latest antics of the Hollywood royalty. Quote
Piranha Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) Here's a little story for everyone ( :-P ) One day I was looking for AR stuff and happened to stumble upon this site I read some reviews , my first impression was, meh just another board. Many months later I was reading the BL forum and found a link to EB with the first Pics of Hoth Rebel base and Republic cruiser, that started it all, I lurked for awhile then joined and the rest is a history and a legend :-P :-D I also found out this is great place to discuss my Hobby, read reviews, write reviews, post MOCs and make a few comics ;-) Plus the #1 spot for seeing Leaked Images :-D Before I was looking for a good forum, but none were as great as EB *y* P Edited January 6, 2008 by Piranha Quote
Aredhel Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I found my way here through Apo. He did very much for EB and I just wanted to join when we got together. And now I am really lucky I joined and met so many nice people of here in Windsor and G Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I got here thanks to my dad finding me a plethora of different lego sites - this being one of them *wub* Why do I keep coming back? The lovely community I feel comfortable in, friends, up to date news, and a good atmosphere. Not to mention a place to get (useful) critisizm on Mocs and share creations :-$ I love it here - also, this topic heavily reminds me of the now dying 'what I like about eurobricks' thread ;-) Quote
yellost Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Mmmh, that would be the 'Ice Cube Tray" thread X-D well, I joined the forum before but I didn't come that often. Then there was that thread which kept on going more and more insane and never stopping. And it made me decide to become a bit more active. (ok, not so much, but it's still a start :-P ) Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 it's the only decent lego forum around. thankfully it's not for europeans only :) No Kidding! Or I wouldn't be here. *sweet* I joined cause of the pirate forum and all the pictures of pirates.eurobricks.com forum all over MOC Ship folders. Like this one: Also, MOCpages is great, but is wasn't the type of interaction i was looking for. X-D P Quote
zero1312 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I came via EXO-FORCE.net to the Space and Mecha subforum for a while and then I saw the forum as the whole thing. I also wanted to know what other oeople would think about me and my creations, then I joined and you guys know too well what happened after. ;-) Quote
VBBN Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 One day, I saw a b-shelf gallery from a memeber named rogueyoda. It was packed with reviews and a word: Eurobricks. I joined because of contests, reviews, new pics, and the communtiy. BZP is so tight. :-| (Yes, rogueyoda is our resident xwingyoda.) Quote
