Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 At the pier of Pontelli: Bernhard Bunsen has been charged to share the information about the Eslandolean treasure fleet with Major Woward Holowitz... Bunsen: "Hey, Major Holowitz, I've got something important to tell you!" Major Woward Holowitz: "WHAT? SPEAK UP SON, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Bunsen: "Curses. All this freight is blocking my way.." (louder) "We are sending the treasure fleet." Major Woward Holowitz:"WE ARE SENDING THE WHAT?" Bunsen: "WE ARE SENDING THE TREASURE FLEET FROM NELISA TO TERRELI!" Major Woward Holowitz: "WE ARE SENDING THE TREASURE FLEET FROM NELISA TO TERRELI?" Bunsen: "YES!" Bunsen: "BUT THAT IS A SECRET!" Major Woward Holowitz: "UNDERSTOOD! SO KEEP QUIET ABOUT IT, SON!" C&C Welcome. Quote
Tomsche Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Hilarious! I love the little houses on the pier, excellent work Quote
Garmadon Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Hilarious once again, Captain B, and why is it that when I saw the major's beard, the first thing I thought was that he was probably a pirate in disguise? The dock is nicely cobbled, and the crowd of figs and freight are great as well! Good job with the houses too, though I think there may be a color or two too many there - but my favorite part is certainly that lovely little rowboat with the monkey in it! ...and Major Woward Holowitz's name! Capt Wolf Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 LOL! Well done! I'm working on an entry with a similar concept, but I suspect you've already outdone me. Your humor continues to carry BoBS through the summer! As for the build itself, I love it! Great waterside scene. I like the colors and interesting details on the buildings, the stone retaining wall and chains, and the minifig posing. Excellent all around! Quote
deraven Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 That's great! The buildings and general scale of everything with the pier build is fantastic- a ton of interest, depth, and character in a pretty small space. Well done! Quote
Bregir Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 No wonder you Eslandians are having trouble with enemy spies - you aren't exactly making it hard for others to pick up some intel! I like the somewhat naive style of buildings with all its colours and details, and the stacked freight is a nice touch! The quays are nice too. Well done! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Hahahahahaha! Great idea!!! Hilarious once again, Captain B, and why is it that when I saw the major's beard, the first thing I thought was that he was probably a pirate in disguise? Good job with the houses too, though I think there may be a color or two too many there - but my favorite part is certainly that lovely little rowboat with the monkey in it! ...and Major Woward Holowitz's name! I think that false-beard stuff is now exhausted. Feel free to ignore the houses, they are just background. Hilarious! I love the little houses on the pier, excellent work Thank you! LOL! Well done! Great waterside scene. I like the colors and interesting details on the buildings, the stone retaining wall and chains, and the minifig posing. Excellent all around! I am very happy about the way the water worked out. I've actually tried this on another MOC (that is still to be posted) and I found this aesthetically pleasing. I've been working on a larger harbour for years - and now I think I have to scrap it and start it all over again. That's great! The buildings and general scale of everything with the pier build is fantastic- a ton of interest, depth, and character in a pretty small space. Well done! Thank you, unknown fellow eurobricker. That makes me think I should have hid some spy in a barrel in the background with just the head peeping out. Ok, next time Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 And all your citizens look soooo happy! Quote
Ayrlego Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Hilarious build Captain B! and somehow quite believable! I especially like the facial expressions - great entry! Quote
dr_spock Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 LOL. Funny build and story. Everybody is smiling like they won the lottery or something. Quote
TitusV Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Really nice build, love all the different houses! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 And all your citizens look soooo happy! Nice little build, a lot of detail packed in on such a small Base. The problem is, not all of them are loyal Eslandolean citizens ... Hilarious build Captain B! and somehow quite believable! I especially like the facial expressions - great entry! Thanks LOL. Funny build and story. Everybody is smiling like they won the lottery or something. Really nice build, love all the different houses! Yes, they are fine (but focus is on the scene with those shouting people). Quote
Elostirion Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Very clever idea and execution. But man, I love that pier of Pontelli! Those facades are absolutely gorgeous. The style really matches perfectly with what we have seen so far on Nellisa: Colourful caribbean houses, yet still it manages to diverge from Nova Terreli and develop a very own appearance. Fantastic, I can't praise that enough! Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Great entry ! I like the houses aspect ! Especially the yellow one. And hilarious story ! The people in the pier seem to enjoy the fun of the situation too... :D Quote

Kolonialbeamter Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 This is a typical Captain Braunsfeld - comic-like colorful design, hilarious characters (besides that shady dude sitting on the very left), ridiculously funny story... monkey! Love all about it Please never change that Nothing more to say Quote
Captain Becker Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Great comic and one again: Hilarious story telling! Keep the humor up! Also, I really like the dock youve made here, and especially that brown tricorne whit white paint. It fits so well and is so usable! Fair wind and Calm seas! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker Quote
SilentWolf Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Great entry with lots of humor. I shall have a reference to your builds when I complete my entry. The buildings make a great water front. I am always fond of Lego animals so I appreciate the CMF dog and the monkey is a classic. Is the brown tricorn custom don't to have the white trim? Quote
