hachiroku Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 My second mod of teh Giant-man template. I really like the concept of an official giant-fig scale. For Godzilla, I try to build it 2x the size of the Giant Man, but it looked too bulky. I decided to keep the official size, making him more cartoonish. LiLmeFromDaFuture Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I like the like the legs and how you interpreted the gap between them, though maybe a 1 x 4 tile on the outside of each leg would be nice to cover up those pin holes. I also think it would be comically interesting if you used the 1 x 1 round tile Mixel eyes Quote
Bricknblue Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 He looks just like baby Godzilla fro the I think 70s movies! Quote
Captain Pirate Man Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) Not to not pick, but Godzilla should be green. I agree, he likes like baby Godzilla. Edited September 11, 2016 by Captain Pirate Man Quote
sparkart Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) I just made of MOC of Big G, and looked at a lot of photo stills from the movies and posters. Onscreen, Godzilla is dark gray or black. I think we all remember him as green because that's how poster artwork, animated shows, comic books, and toys have depicted him, but if you go to the source material, like the color movies, he's not green. Captain Pirate Man Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) I agree that "technically" Godzilla is charcoal grey or black. Yes green is the "supposed" color that is assumed, but it isn't technically correct. But as for Lego based sets, the grey you guys are using doesn't look right IMO. If you don't want to use green (even though a dark forest type green would look best imo) I think a mix of black and dark grey would be the way to go. I would only use the lighter Grey's for his scales. I just feel the grey makes him look more like Mechagodzilla. But none the less, your mocs look great Edited September 11, 2016 by Captain Pirate Man Quote
BrickJagger Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Very cool! I like the cartoonish look you've given him. The hands look great as well. Quote
Evolved Turtle Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Very cool! If t isn't trouble, could we see what it looked like at twice the size like you mentioned? Quote
