legomilk Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Over the years many fans have often wanted to come and visit the LEGO Group. This is now a possibility! We invite all fans to experience the LEGO Group behind the scenes. A 2 Quote
Hinckley Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Thanks for the info, legomilk. Do you actually work for LEGO? Quote
Corvus Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Actually, I think this has been around for a bit, It's on Lego.com, but I think I first noticed it in the AFOL lego magazine- Brickjournal? It looks fun, but I think I'd rather go to the EB event. We do something similar (but not as much) there, right? Will Quote
Lost Viking Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Everyone needs to go on the tour, it was absolutely amazing! Quote
KimT Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Everyone needs to go on the tour, it was absolutely amazing! Yeah right. The price is 1700USD, 1300 EUROS or 10000 DKr. I don't need that. I'd rather spend that amount of money on an EB Event. Think about all that LEGO those money would buy. But the Factory Tour is AWESOME. KimT Quote
Morten Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I think 10000 dkr / 1700 us-$ is totally insane. I thought that the tour was like a gesture to the the fans / AFOLs, not BIG buissness (10000 is what a lot of people earn in a month after taxes!!!), if i had paid 10000 for the tour, i would like so riped of. I hope the TT will arrange something like a tour at the event in Billund this year, something that does not set you back 10000,- LEGOmilk what is your interest in this tour? Have you tried it? dunamis Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Wow, this is cool. I would love to do that but $1,700 + airfare and accomodations from the U.S. would make it pretty expensive. As someone said above, that would buy a lot of LEGO! Quote
Hobbes Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I would love to do that but $1,700 + airfare and accomodations Accomodation is included - for the tour at least. Still too steep... Quote
Holodoc Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Yeah right. The price is 1700USD, 1300 EUROS or 10000 DKr. I don't need that. I'd rather spend that amount of money on an EB Event. Think about all that LEGO those money would buy.But the Factory Tour is AWESOME. KimT Exactly what I was thinking! *y* This tour is a pretty good answer if someone asks you: "What would you do if you win 1.000.000 Quote
snefroe Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 too expensive for sure!. first, i need to pay for my airplane return ticket to brussels - billund, in all 500 euro at least, then 1300 euro for hardly 2.5 days... i'd rather spend that money on other trips... I also don't see why it has to be so expensive. where's all that money ging to? the designers have to be paid anyway, they're making some extra money putting them into their own hotel, most of the people will be buying lego afterwards as well... so, except for greed and huge profits, i don't see a reason why this should be so expensive. Lost Viking Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 When I went in 05, it was $1000... now it is $1700! Wow. Quote
