Kai NRG Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Edit: For the Resistance. Who is this that cometh, with light tread, towards the altar of his ancestors? Why doth he draw a scarlet knife and light the flame of war? One last picture, just 'cause I love my blobs of rock. Glad to be back with another GoH build! Had fun with the photography for this one. C&C welcome as always! Quote
Henjin_Quilones Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I have to say, this is some beautiful rockwork! The balance of the form, with the overhang and winding path, makes it almost bonsai-tree-esque, in a very good way. Well done! And the pictures look great, too. Quote
TitusV Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 That rockwork is from an incredibly high niveau, and I gotta love that pathway! The colourscheme of this build is so awesome! The Orange blackground and clear photgraphy only adds to it Quote
Dubbadgrim Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 As above, a very good 'blob of rock' - hope to see more landscapes like this! Quote
Blufiji Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 That is some top notch rock work! And the little path is nice. Quote
en_zoo Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 ahhh that overhang! had I seen it before, I'd totally have copied it in my current build! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Lovely rockwork, really sells the winding mountainous path look Quote
MassEditor Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Very nice work on the rocks and path here! Quote

This kind of rockwork is time consuming but really rewarding! On 9/13/2016 at 1:41 AM, TitusV said: That rockwork is from an incredibly high niveau, and I gotta love that pathway! By all means give it a go if you get a chance again, but just to warn you... it's maybe not as easy as it looks! On 9/13/2016 at 6:07 PM, MassEditor said: Very nice work on the rocks and path here! Exetrius Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Good to see you in the Guilds again, Kai! I can see why you love those blobs of rockwork! Overhanging rock spikes always.. eh.. dare I say, rock? The beacon/altar looks really neat as well, especially with the large flames. The only (minor) thing missing in my opinion are slight hints of vegetation or snow; something that would break the monotony of the rocks or indicate what kind of surroundings this build has (like altitude or biome). Another very nice build, keep up the good work! Quote
Hexx Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 (edited) This is great! The build by itself is awesome, but I really like that air of mystery in storytelling :) Makes me want to find out more about the lonely figure (and his ancestors) :D Edited September 26, 2016 by Hexx spelling Quote

I actually was going to throw in dashes of sand green, and had the container on hand for that purpose, but totally forgot about it while I was building. LittleJohn Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Excellent blob of rock and path, Kai The mix of dark brown and reddish brown in the path works very well here, and I really like that altar as well. The orange background sets the build off nicely Quote
LordDan Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Masterful rockwork Kai! I also really like the use of the fire "wings" on the pyre, it looks very scenic! Quote
