LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

It's probably wishful thinking, but yesterday it struck me how great the new Mr. Freeze/Red Hood armor piece could be for an updated Ogel... it'd certainly make for a good complement to the Series 16 "Spy" (who was clearly an updated version of Alpha Team's Dash).

I say we just continue the game and ignore the wrong hints because the game is between you and those who wants to play the game anyway... after all, without us knowing that your list is 100% correct, you saying that it's not speculation is still a speculation unless proven otherwise.... and proving yourself "100% correct" doesn't count.

Yes this is indeed true, but you will see the minifigures in may and see that every minifigure fits one spot in my hint list.

It's not my fault, but whatever. He said in the above statement that he needs to stay more generic. That means he won't tell us much. He then blames me for guessing when he said his source told him not to say anymore. Plus, Klaus-dieter gave us actual confirmation on two minifigures, that's more than what itaria has told us. Anyways, I didn't want to comment here anymore, but it's not my fault. He can blame me all he wants to, but others here are guessing too. Let's just wait until the actual pictures come out.

I don't see any harm in letting Lego fans have something to get excited about and look forward to months ahead of the actual release.

From the older series, I missed out on karate/judo gi guy, black ninja, and heavily armed spaceman, so wouldn't mind a repeat.

Today I saw Toys R Us had football guy in a 4 pack.

@amazingbricks you simply didn't look like "hinting" as when you said stuff like Prince Charming or Apple Suit Guy you seemed you knew for sure. Thisi is what was a bit annoying in your behaviour.

I could do like Klaus-Dieter and tell the 12 remaining, but that won't be funny. So yeah, perhaps Klaus-Dieter said more than me or perhaps giving hints about 14 minifigures is more than telling 2 for sure. Who knows.

I don't like to have problems, that's it.

If my sources tells me that I am revealing too much and that will prevent me from knowing stuff in the future, well, that's it.

Play with the hints I gave you. I will simply confirm or deny the ideas you had.

Do we think that the Butterfly Girl will have new wings, or will they reuse the fairy wings? Personally, I would like to see some new, bigger wings printed with some kind of pattern, but that might be asking a little much from Lego.

I'm not trying to have any problems. I just find it dumb that you would that you were calling me out on what I said. I heard about the Prince and pizza suit guy, but I'm glad we had confirmation that they weren't in it. I was just trying to let everyone know  about potential minifigures. Anyways, I don't want to have a bad relationship with anyone on here. Thanks for your time and what you've done with the hints.

I also hope the Butterfly Girl has proper wings. The fairy ones would be ok, but really aren't wide enough for any kind of butterly.

It'd be great if she had new wings, I think that it would do her justice. Also, the bee helmet from series 10 would be useful for her in a black color.

I think the games are dumb unless it leads to someone figuring out the answer.  But I do appreciate that you are trying to maintain a source.  I personally feel that the source is a little conservative with their information, and I really appreciate Klaus-Dieter for sharing his knowledge.  It's been a while since I was here, and I hoped for more than 2 confirmed minifigures in that time.

So if we didn't have the hints, people would be complaining that we hadn't heard enough. With the hints, people are complaining that it's too vague and they only want definitive answers.

 

I prefer to hear hints AKA RUMORS,  because that is, after all, the name of the thread. Without these rumors, the only discussion in here would be wishlist requests and packaging discussions which I am not interested in.

Fair enough.  I just don't get why people want to play games.  Why can't the source just let him tell us everything?  What would it hurt?

Itaria has already said that their source of information will be cut off if they reveal the whole list, so I think it's understandable that they want to maintain that source.

I'm kind of glad the game is over, I found it more frustrating than anything else, and it meant that this topic got flooded with guesses that I had to search through while looking for definitive information.

I would like them to remake or rerelease many series or figs. I feel like ive missed out on a lot as i didnt have any series 1,2,3,4  and would love to army build i.e. Roman Soldier, Viking etc. Its so expensive nowadadays £25 for one roman sokdier series 6

Not to mention that some, such as the Roman soldier, would benefit greatly from dual molding on the legs and arms if re-released (though would it count as a re-release f the fiugre was different?).

My intentions were to unveil the 12 remaining characters a bit at a time until pictures were out, but I've been told that I cannot.

This also poses me in a position like somebody says "hmmm... I don't know if he knows for sure".

I think only time will tell wether I was wrong or right, I just hope people will recognize that my clues are not general and ambigous but they point to a specific class of minifigures. I really would like to say more, but I can't.

I think they'll never re-release exactly the same figure, unless it was part of a 'best of' at S100 or something. But they'll almost certainly start recycling concepts, if only because it's been more than six years since the CMF line was launched and it only takes three years for a new police station to come out... these are aimed at children and there are now six years of children who have grown into Lego age since the Ninja was first released.

We've already sort of seen a remake with the S01 Spaceman -> S15 Astronaut, although there's a slight difference in concept as the former is a sci-fi character and the latter is supposed to be more realistic.

On the other hand there's an almost unlimited amount of foods and animals that can be made into minifigures, so. Maybe they'll never do repeats, and S36 will look something like Oyster Girl, Kiwifruit Guy, Durian Lady, Pangolin Boy, Axolotl Man...
