zoth33 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 There is a lego store in Southington CT, called Bricks and Minifigs that has roman soldiers for $6 a piece. The Spartan is like $25. If anyone is looking. Anyway I hope the castle related figure is an army builder and I hope for some useful accessories this time. Quote

Though this is just speculation, I want him to have a recolored S12 Hun Warrior helmet... though it doesn't fit with the typical dwarf beard. I think he'll have some kind of horned or winged helmet, at the very least. As for weapons, he'll most likely get a shield and axe combo like the S5 Evil Dwarf. I'll be surprised if he gets a new mold; rather, he'll have detailed prints to help elevate his design. I wonder if his short legs will have printing... Quote
Robert8 Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 I guess Battle Dwarf is just a fancy name for a regular good Dwarf, as a counterpart for the Series 5 Evil Dwarf Just like Scallywag Pirate was a fancy name for a regular crew pirate. I think he could be a cost saver with no new parts. Just an updated Fantasy Era dwarf, which would be interesting to see almost 10 years after the release of that theme, since the printing has improved a lot since then. As @telaruhn said, it would be a nice chance to introduce short legs with printing. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Short leg printing would be awesome. Quote

retrotaco Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I'd much prefer more dual-molded short legs than legs with 'battle' printing, would up the re-use factor IMO. Quote

LegoGenre Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I always look out for collectable minifigures whenever I am at Target. But, I never seem to find them. I usually check around the Lego isle and end caps… Quote
gedren_y Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 My local Target sold out of their Minifigures (16 and Disney) four weeks ago. With the Batman series so close, they didn't bother with a restock. Target is pretty reliable with them early on (no mark-up, too), but restock rarely happens. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Is the hot dog cart vendor the same as the mini from the Fun in the Park set? Quote

But they'll almost certainly start recycling concepts, if only because it's been more than six years since the CMF line was launched and it only takes three years for a new police station to come out... these are aimed at children and there are now six years of children who have grown into Lego age since the Ninja was first released. We've already sort of seen a remake with the S01 Spaceman -> S15 Astronaut, although there's a slight difference in concept as the former is a sci-fi character and the latter is supposed to be more realistic. On the other hand there's an almost unlimited amount of foods and animals that can be made into minifigures, so. Maybe they'll never do repeats, and S36 will look something like Oyster Girl, Kiwifruit Guy, Durian Lady, Pangolin Boy, Axolotl Man... They did re-release a few of the earliest figures as a VIP boxed set. With some seeing some minor changes, typically colors of accessories. It had the Elf, Evil Cyborg, Gorilla Suit Guy, Fisherman and Mummy. Of course that set was probably made from extra parts that they otherwise dump into the build a minifig bins. That would differentiate it from the Fantasy era Dwarves. Quote
BubbaFit45531 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I noticed Target has some Lego in the baseball card section (polybags), Lego aisle, and the misc small mystery pack aisle, as well as end of aisle display stands. I saw a few things in the clearance aisle end, but when scanned, they weren't marked down. Mine has an awful lot of CMF 16 that appeared AFTER x-mas. The one box of Disney CMF was gone like overnight. Quote
retrotaco Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yeah, you really need to check EVERY SINGLE endcap and the collectible sections for minifigures, Target doesn't always have the CMF's near the sets (near me, at least, they RARELY are near the sets themselves) - it's very easy to overlook them. RichiPuppy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 My target also has them in the checkout lanes with all the random stuff like chap stick and batteries. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Ok here it is: I don't like to be called liar, or spreading false rumours, so I will put the remaining 12 characters, BUT in a way that I can then prove right. Here it is: I only put the first letters of every word, but not in english. Just in another language using google translate. Then, when I will be allowed to spread the list, I will do. Here they are, in random order. 1) V 2) EF 3) H 4) C 5) A(C) 6) GR 7) AR 8) TiCdR 9) Y 10) S 11) IdD 12) TiCdP Thanks Quote
x105Black Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I don't think anyone was calling you a liar. Quote
lifeinplastic Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) I don't think anybody was doubting you have the correct information either, Itaria. However, I much prefer these games so that it passes the time and everyone can join in, rather than somebody just saying I know this and that but I'm not going to share!!! Anyway, I was trying to figure out the recent clues and figure there must be some more costume characters. Seeing as Itaria is from Italy, could No. 8 and 12 be "Tipo in Costume da XYZ" (guy in XYZ costume in Italian)? Perhaps TiCdR could be Tipo in Costume da Rana (frog costume guy) or TiCdP could be Tipo in Costume da Pecora (sheep costume guy) Edited January 6, 2017 by lifeinplastic Quote
telaruhn Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I appreciate any bit of info you can provide, Itaria. Now I need to learn Italian... :) Following lifeinplastic, I'm looking up Italian food words starting with P or R... pancetta = bacon, patata = potato, pepe = pepper, pomodoro = tomato, proscuitto = ham ravanello = radish, riso = rice I now want a Bacon Man!
