I have to say I'm personally a little disappointed in the Corn Cob Guy, I think his mould is nicely done, I'm just not a fan of the colors. I think if they had gone for more muted tones he would have been better in my opinion. (Also not really a fan of the short-sleeve shirt)

Looks great!

The only disappointment for me was that he has a darker green for his torso and legs compared to the husk of his corn-cob suit. I wished it all matched...

I can't wait to see the other figures! :)

I've been following this thread closely. Very disappointed that we are not getting a matador - this was one of the figure I wanted most, along with the centaur and terracotta warrior. Lego if you read this, please take note. I'm not giving up hope that this will happens one day. Just like I thought Lego would never made a medusa and a satyr and they did. Keep up the awesome work. By the way, the corn suit guy is nicely done, I agree that something about the short sleave and colour of the pant don't look quite right. But still a very good figure at the end and deserve to be in my collection as many.

We can't be completely sure that's the actual body of the minifigure, but it's very likely

I don't think we've seen dual moulded dark green and yellow torsos before, so it should be real...

I LOVE the corn cob guy!

Hope that won't be his real face, I'd prefere a puffy cheeks face   And the same green for the leaves and the body

(still waiting for a chili pepper suit guy in the future)

The mold for the Corn Suit Guy is fantastic, but there is something about the minifigure underneath that just isn't clicking with me ... but to each one's own. Obviously, I will be adding him to my collection anyway!

I think that the Corn Suit Guy looks great, I just would have preferred a lighter green color for the legs.  Fantastic minifig though.

Yeah, torso and legs should have different colors in my opinion

Personally, I wish the Corn Suit were a lighter shade of yellow, something paler than the standard minifig skin. It doesn't look right as it is. But that's just my opinion. I like the dark green for the legs, though. Contrast is good.

Corn guy looks pretty good. I wonder if he will come with an accessory? Although it seems rare for costumed figures...

I found myself with a lot of time at work today, waiting for things to get fixed, so I got more involved in the clues, assuming Romanian to be the language Itaria ran Google through.

1: V for (medic) veterinar-- Veterinarian, someone who has do with animals--or ventriloc--Ventriloquist--since the 80s was a big heyday for puppet shows, like the Muppet show, Lamb Chops, Alf etc? Seems like it could make the 80's great again.

2. EF for Elf Fantazie--a female elf minifig, a girl with a counterpart in the first 10 waves.

3. H for haiduc--an outlaw, the silhouette guy, not a pirate. I know I said I didn't think it was him, but since @JGuy suggested this word I
realized it was probably right, especially since I have heard this word before.

4. C for concesionar--concessionaire, or a guy who sells concessions (i.e. Hot Dog Vendor) Concessionaire has other meanings, too, but is consistent with a food vendor. Another possibility is cosmonaut--spaceman, a character not always on planet Earth. There doesn't seem to be much sci-fi in this series yet, and it would suggest a more CS kind of spaceman than the recent astronaut.

5. A (C) for ??? I'm not sold on this being an Australian with a Kangaroo, but I don't have any other suggestions, either.

6. GR for gnom razboinic--dwarf warrior. Sometimes Google spits out pitic for dwarf, but one iteration I did it gave me gnom. I'm guessing Itaria meant this as the rehash character from someone in series 1-5 who you shouldn't mess with. Although he does say that clue was someone born before 500 AD, so who knows? I think the letter clue is right even if the other clue is mismatched.

7. AR for ??? No clue. I'll keep thinking.

8. TiCdR for Rocket Suit Man, as others have said. He is the random object guy whose price will skyrocket. Why not.

9. Y for Yoghin. A guru. This could fit in with the specific nationality while not being Asian, since he would be Indian.

10. S for ??? Not sure yet.

11. IdD for instructor de dans--a girl, related to series 5 and 15.

12. TiCdP for Corn suit guy, like others have said, the food costume guy.

Keep in mind that Corn Cob guy's clothes could be placeholders. That torso is Banana Guy's torso as well.

And just realized, 'V' could be a new Viking. It's the same in every language so there's no problem with that, and it fits 5) 6) and 12) from the hint list. A more badass looking viking with a beard and better armor is possible, since the last one was in S7 (and it was a woman).

Isn't Indian Asian?

But thanks for working on the clues

Hmmm, I guess so. I always considered India to be its own thing, sort of how Russia doesn't spring to mind as "Asian" either. Everyone please forgive my ethnogeographical oversight.

Some great guesses here?, but just to point out that GR will NOT be a Dwarf Warrior because the already confirmed minifigures were NOT included in Itaria's list of letters. The same goes for the one you said could be the hot dog vendor-for this one I would stick with the Astronaught. If you wanted to include these minifigures in your list (+the circus strongman and butterfly girl) you would have to have 16 slots.

Just trying to help!

Hi Gang,

I've been lurking on this topic for a little while and it's been fun to read all of the guesses, with specific relation to the silhouette which is confirmed NOT be a matador, the first thing I personally saw (which I don't believe anyone has mentioned) when I looked at the image was this;

town-crier.jpg

A town crier.

Someone has even made a custom that kind of fits with the silhouette

Aw shucks! I've really had an ear for the corn suit. Since I felt like there was a kernel of truth in the rumors, I've been stalking around for a while to find a picture like this! This is much to my amaizement! Yes, I know, very corny. If I didn't let it out I'd just pop though!

8. Town crier

jonahtron, I also think the silhouette has a fair chance of being a town crier. I posted town crier on my first list of guesses based on Itaria's clues back in December.

PS. I like the custom minifigure!

The picture of corn suit mold was posted here on the day we found out there is a Corn Suit Guy, so that was never just a rumor.

And that's a pretty good custom town crier! To be honest I never knew town criers were something iconic, but now I'd say there's a high chance that he's in the series, especially since it fits with the letters and the silhouette.

Ah nice one! I'll be really surprised if it isn't one. The Town Crier would be a pretty good fit with the retro/vintage vibe of the modulars.

My guess as to why his raised hand isn't holding a new moulded bell piece is that it would give the game away too easily. Can't have a town crier without a bell!
