February 9, 20178 yr Author new real pics. Purists may please excuse the painted panels Edited February 9, 20178 yr by efferman
February 9, 20178 yr 41 minutes ago, efferman said: new real pics. Purists may please excuse the painted panels  You mean the panels with the sloped sides. I've painted pneumatic cylinders on the crane from my Actros, I had to, TLG doesn't make white pneumatic cylinders and putting yellow ones on a white crane looks like crap if you want to display such a model, the fricking thing cost me around €900,- and ending up with pneumatic cylinders that stick out like a sore thumb isn't an option for me. But painting panels aside, why did you choose orange for this model, you could have chosen red for instance, those panels are available in red if I'm correct. I love the orange though, so it's not a problem for me. Edited February 9, 20178 yr by Dafgek81
February 9, 20178 yr Author Maybe you can remind the big suction excavator in the video. The new one one these pictures is for the owner of the big one. And he want it orange.
February 9, 20178 yr Okay, that's why it's orange. Are these machine orange most of the time or are there companies you know of that have them on another colour??
February 9, 20178 yr Author Our customers can get the colour which they want For example the plambeck arocs
February 9, 20178 yr I think it would look nice in red or blue to, although orange is wicked too. I just saw that panel you painted is only available in a few colors, blue, black, yellow, gray. Edited February 9, 20178 yr by Dafgek81
February 10, 20178 yr Sorry efferman if this is an odd question, I admit I haven't read all the posts here - Is this orange version a total redesign of your competition model or only recoloured version. Well the cabin is obviously different, but did recolouring also demand redesigning due to parts availability? So far, I like it better, than the competition version.Â
February 11, 20178 yr Author The chassis is more or less a complete redesign, to need less parts and get more stability. And the rotation of the powerboom is not longer made with pneumatics. The colour is a wish of the future owner. In white it would be much easier to build, even when i have to modify the roof of the cab to avoid the curved 3x2x7 panel in orange.
February 11, 20178 yr So, that's what I thought. It is a commissioned model. I once tried to do that, but I could not work out a deal with the people. Good luck. What am I saying? You don't need luck, this model looks excellent, and the owner should be happy to.
February 11, 20178 yr That owner must be happy when he gets it, or else send it to me, I'd love it!!!!!!!!
February 11, 20178 yr Author If he dont want to pay the prize i will have a model for conventions. by the way, there is some Progress Before finishing the build i have to test the hose connections under pressure. When they jump jump off in the finished truck i will have a big problem.
February 11, 20178 yr Great progress! A thing I wanna ask is are you gonna add stickers, for example those stickers which are written "bender".
February 11, 20178 yr Author I will do registration plates, red white warning stickers and maybe some volvo signs from a ew160 set when they fit to the scale. The typical Bender Straßenbau GmbH stickers will probably do the future owner.
February 11, 20178 yr could you post a picture of the real truck you are building this scale model for? If I am able to build this one, maybe I can put those stickers on mine.
February 11, 20178 yr Author I dont have pictures with stickers, but here you can see an older bender truck. Look on Saugbaggertechnik http://www.bender-strassenbau.de/index.php?page=kompetenzen Â
February 12, 20178 yr Author No Leaks in the pneumatics, so i can go ahead Behind the small door are the place for the suction extension pipes Simple, but the cab stays in open position.
February 13, 20178 yr This is Going together perfectly and that cab is brilliant as you have captured all the lines spot on. Your client would be insane not to own it.
February 13, 20178 yr Author Thank you very much, guys some Progress with the Machinehouse interior. The red part fakes the turbine, the grey the compressor, and the small black things the Valve block with high pressure filter.
February 13, 20178 yr It still remains jaw dropping, gets better with every picture you post of it. Still can't believe it when you say you only have a modest amount of parts, this thing is huge and all those pneumatic parts!!!! How big is your parts collection anyway, mine is about 30 000 parts, loose and in sets combined. Â
February 13, 20178 yr Author I have only a limited amount on studded Parts. Rebrickable says i have 105 thousand technic parts. so iam not really limited on parts. Edited February 13, 20178 yr by efferman
