One thing that I noticed after the update: I cannot see the members' signatures until I have signed in. Is that intentional?

No...um... :look: ...unless you like it! :sweet: Then, yes!

The only remarks: I feel the quote and + sign are taking too much space/attention on each of the post, and a slightly darker gray background would outline each post better.

I'll mess with that. It does look a little stark right now. Something a little warmer behind it might be nice. Maybe if there were a background color behind the + quote would also help. Or either or both...

And again, thanks for the feedback from those who are being constructive. Reading back I feel my diatribe didn't iterate that enough. That's because I was pissed.

I think the new update is great but it will take some getting used to, and I just realized the new sounds :sweet:

One thing on "Extras" on the profile viewer it has the "Special Tags 1 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/style_images/flags/fbg.gif" but I think it should actually show the picture.

EDIT

one more thing could you put the "Go To Topic Listing" on the right like it used to be instead of the left?

Exciting news! I love the way how fresh my favorite forum now looks and can't wait for all of the fog to clear up in a week. You guys are doing an amazing job doing such a major overhaul and making sure we can keep having fun here. I actually never thought about how much better Eurobricks could look and what functions it could use, but now I'm overflowing with ideas. Please don't fix the clock with its one hour difference though. I've cursed too much on it, but have to admit I have fallen in love with it, a bug feature so characteristic of Eurobricks

First off, I like the update. Looks much sharper, more modern.

But I do miss the "content" bit, where you could see all the topics you created/commented on, and if there was anything new. Would be great to have that function back (or if it is included here, could someone point me there?). It is a huge time-saver, especially for viewing if the current quest I'm in has an update (Heroica Hall).

That is my only nit-pick at the moment, overall I really like it!

Go to the "Activity" tab all the way on the top, then click on "My Activity Streams" and select "Content I posted in". Make sure you set the "Read Status" filter to "Everything" if it hasn't been set to that already to get it like it was before. Note that you only get the content you've posted in after the update for now, but I guess that will be solved within a week.

Having a lot of fun with all of the filter options by the way!

Absolutely horrible on my phone. Can't see anything properly. Can't search anything. And theres a menu tab but nothing opens. Haven't checked pc yet..

The menu thing IS showing up. You will see when you tap the menu icon, the screen will darken. Now just scroll a little to the right.

For the feedback, I like this update very much! I only use mobile version, And it much improved! One thing, can there be an option where you can disable the account "banners". I dislike them, and they look a little messy.

Also, the mobile version of the forum takes just a half of the real width of the webpage. This makes that some notifications are only half visible, and that the page zooms out sometimes.

BUT!

There are way less minors than there are good things, and I thing we all have to respect the time the admins put in this for us!

Thank you admin team!

On the positive feedback, love the sound alert and the popup that loads new posts without reloading the page. Also, performance wise, it seems to be much faster at loading between topics pages, this is a real pleasure.

Question: I see my TC10 topic has not been migrated yet, the BBcode is all visible. Can I still add a post or should I better wait?

Thanks for the hard work guys! Appreciated.

New design sure feels more modern, and with a few tweaks to the css scheme everything will be fine.

Don't let negative comments upset you - that's (unfortunately) just what the internet brings out in people.

Can't chime in with anything new, but I'd like to add my voice to those that wish for a bit more contrast.

Especially all the info that is written in the very light grey (e.g. time posted on a post, or the number of views, author info and topic post date for each thread on a forum page) is really hard to read and should be adjusted to a significantly darker shade of gray.

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the Eurobricks family. I have been with you guys for five years and this is my favorite interwebs retreat! It looks very sterile, with all the brightness, though. Like a futuristic spacey-place. I am using Firefox 26.0 on Linux Mint 15. My browser refuses to update no matter how many times I try to install it, it just doesn't run, and hasn't for a loooong time. But, I guess that's really my problem, not yours. I hope it still works for me. :classic:

It seems that when you go to an old post where you can see the BBcode, click on the "edit" button and save it without any changes, you refresh it and the BBCode will get applied. That could be a solution to keep things readable (although I'm starting to "read" the BBCode quite well ) until everything gets refreshed automatically.

I earlier suggested that you could simply try moving the quote button (as well as the plus) to the right, so it isn't as much "in your face", maybe you could try that out?

Fingers crossed the new rich-text editor doesn't bug out like the old one used to...here's hoping!  Thanks for the upgrade, everyone, I am liking the sleek new look, and pages definitely seem to be loading faster (though that may be because most of the old BBCode is still broken until the script gets to it ).  On the subject of the editor, are there plans to bring back the plain-text editor as an option, just in case? :sweet:

I guess I'll reiterate that the quote button is a little intrusive at the moment and that the separation between posts and signatures is a little hard to delineate, but I'd imagine that you're already working on those issues as part of rebuilding the overall style and appearance of the site. :classic:

Question time: Is there a reason my avatar is broken while most other people's seem to be fine?  I tried to re-upload my avatar manually, but the new file size limit seems absurdly small compared to what we had before.

Also, bug report: as of ~1 hour ago, the mobile version of the site respects the "view desktop version" setting on Firefox mobile, but ignores the "view computer version" of the default Android internet app (which I'm 90% sure is just Chrome under a different name).  Or rather, it keeps the mobile page and layout and width, but expands the scrollable screen area to desktop size, it's quite strange.  (I'm on desktop Firefox now, so I can't go back and check at the moment, the issue may already be fixed.)

Not sure what's changed but site is displaying nicely on both Safari and Chrome on my Mac. 10.11.6.

For some reason I can post on Safari on my phone and on Chrome (hence this post) but on Safari on my Mac the area to type your reply in just grey with no typeable area.

I'll try a restart to see if that helps but besides that It's looking nice and working smoothly.

Cleared cache and restarted. Now seems to be OK.

Thanks, that worked for my posts, but not for others' which I can't edit of course.

Looks very fresh!

Never knew I was gonna say this, but I actually missed you guys; checking Eurobricks is just so much part of my daily routine...

Not a huge fan of the upgrade right now, but I'm sure it will grow on me.  There are some pretty neat functions though - like being able to create your own custom "stream" that will give you all the unread topics from your forums of choice on one handy page and put a link to the stream on the top right of every page.  Now that's neat.

Looks really good to me! My only problem is that the grey surrounding the posts is WAY too light, so the whole page just looks white with nothing separating replies, unless I look at the screen at the right angle (and that angle is rather awkward and uncomfortable ). Other than that though, you guys have done a very good job here!

EDIT: Oh, and another thing, I just noticed the members' country of residence isn't centered, and it's really bugging me now

Hello. I like the new Forum design. Looks better now. Altough i would also say that the bright gray is a bit too bright.

And another question. Why can u only search for Things after 30 seconds ?. It´s pretty irritating (I know it was on the old Forum aswell but why?)

Huh. It looks cool! I like everything except for how the member thingy on the left looks. Good job, Admins. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I get this error when i try and look at the star wars sub forum

Sorry, there is a problem

Something went wrong. Please try again.

Error code: EX1054

I'm getting it for every single forum.  Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. :classic:

Same thing here, and in other sub forum. I can only see the main forum or the individual threads that are linked elsewhere but I can't see sub forums which prevents me from seeing new threads or making new threads.

Using Windows 10, 64 bits. Chrome browser  Version 53.0.2785.116 m which is already current, and not sure what else to try.

I see it too. We fixed something but it seem it broke something else...

We are looking into it.

EDIT: now it's again ok. We reverted the 'fix' for the other problem.

I think it will take us 1-2 weeks, but I'm confident we'll get all the problems under control and make this board look great.

Personally I'm very glad the performance seems to be very good.
