ILikePi Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Brickshelf is completely down now... Internet Explorer refuses to display the site.I think something bad's about to occur. Well, it still works on Safari for me (or the people got BrickShelf back up). Quote
Clone OPatra Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Has anyone else noticed that brickshelf has completely gone down! All deeplinked Brickshelf pics are gone, just gone! They show up as missing symbols, making many many reviews almost worthless! I hope they fix that soon (I'll take this as a good time to switch completely to flickr). Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I really hope this is only for awhile, and not gone forever... All my images are hosted in there, and I never backup all of them. I just hope they are able to restore their server soon. Quote
Captain Genaro Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 When ever I try to go to brickshelf, I keep getting an error message that says that this page is broken or does not exist. Also, some pictures on Eurobricks from brickshelf won't appear. Is this just me or is this happening to everyone. If this thread already exists, could an admin please close this one thanks. Quote
Oky Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Well this sucks. I observed today that images started to disappear one by one and now most of them aren't showing up anymore and it's impossible to connect to BS. Has this ever happened before like this? What's strange is that the pics in my sig still work... But maybe they will disappear soon too... Due to the connection error, I'm guessing this is a temporary thing that deals with the BS server acting up again. Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Captain Genaro, I have merged your topic in here. Please continue the discussion in here. @Oky: I believed this is the first time I have experienced this as well. Sigh. Edit: Brickshelf is up again! Quote
TJJohn12 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 As much as I disagree with continually building on the same thread for new problems, here goes... Is Brickshelf down again? Maj is also dead for me... How's deeplinking fairing, folks? -John Quote
ILikePi Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Is Brickshelf down again?Brickshelf is up again (if it was down in the first place). Quote
cagri Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Uploading is temporarily disabled. That's what I keep getting? Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 That's what I keep getting? Me too ! Trying to upload a City MOD and a Star Wars MOD for the last 14 hours ! What's going on ?! Quote
MacK Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) Indeed it's very annoying! I can't share my latest micro space moc here because of it . I hope they fix it soon. Edited November 17, 2009 by MacK Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Still can not upload ! The another day, they said they were doing some kind of upgrade or manitance on their site. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Hey people, it's still not uploading ! I don't know what's going on ? Quote
MetroiD Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Give it a break. If they said they're doing maintenance, then they're doing maintenance - simple as that. Even if they're down for a week or two, it's all up to the guys who run the site. Another gentle reminder to everyone who hasn't backed up their pics posted on Brickshelf... Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Another gentle reminder to everyone who hasn't backed up their pics posted on Brickshelf... That makes no sense. To submit the image in the first place, it has to be on your hard drive! I see what you mean, though. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 They doing some maintance last week - why I know this as I tried accessing my files and up came they were doing maintance. Now I can get in, but no way I can upload images - still !!! Quote
MetroiD Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 That makes no sense. To submit the image in the first place, it has to be on your hard drive! Believe me, it does. Guess you weren't around during the great Brickshelf migration, but I can totally see history repeating itself. Not that I myself was MOCcing back then, but a little digging around will tell you how much of a shock BS' spell on the brink of extinction was. Once again - Brickshelf is a free service and, unlike Flickr, it's not backed by Yahoo! or anyone else. As a matter of fact, I'm still amazed that they've managed to keep it free for so long, even despite the severely outdated layout/structure. So it would do you a world of good to have it in mind that Brickshelf is not always going to be accessible / trouble - free / there at all. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 They doing some maintance last week - why I know this as I tried accessing my files and up came they were doing maintance. Now I can get in, but no way I can upload images - still !!! It is a free site remember, if you want a more stable solid option, look elsewhere. Quote
Milan Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 They even proposed to have option for a PAYING customers, with some nice benefits, but still nothing! I would gladly pay account at a reasonable price there to have stable hosting site which is 100% Lego! Of course it would be nice from them to upgrade the whole site setup, into the modern site... Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Hey folks, Upload is still disabled ! Hope they can it fix soon, otherwise their advertisers might leave them and they'll have no money to keep it going ! I'm having to use MOC pages to link across my MOC/MOD images over to here so I can make postings. Quote
Milan Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I'm having to use MOC pages to link across my MOC/MOD images over to here so I can make postings. You can use numerous other free image hosting sites! Then just link pictures from there! Example  Quote
BillytheKid Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I see more people have problems with brickshelf. I can't upload the pic's anymore....... When is this horror over? Quote
