Ok, but every year there are new Star Wars LEGO fans…who missed out on old sets/figs. Should LEGO need to continue releasing old figs/sets instead of new ones again….and again….and again….and again every couple of years just because some people missed out? Regarding Luke, Vader, the Falcon: I agree. But apart from those LEGO needs to move forward and make new ones (especially when there's so much new material (coming up)). You can’t keep on pleasing new collectors, some (obscure) characters will never be released again…..luckily there’s BrickLink for those. Quote

What I'm wondering is this: If you're returning to LEGO and are missing several minifigures, would you rather buy a 5-10 year old outdated version of a character, or would you rather see a nice, updated, modern version to build your collection? I guess I don't understand this complaint. On the other hand, there are a lot of veterans who have many minifigures already, and if there is an update to a character, then those veterans will want to buy the new versions. This isn't that big of a deal with individual characters, but with army builders like Stormtroopers, it can be a pain to update your entire army (not to mention expensive). So I understand this complaint. I still don't agree, because this feels like holding up progress for everyone because of a somewhat selfish minority, but I do understand that frustration it would bring. Quote
