[TC10] Side Loader Garbage Truck

My entry for the contest is a Side Loader Garbage Truck, based on KO-440 (GAZ-3309 chassis):

Features & Functions:

• HOG steering
• Flat-2 engine
• Opening hood
• Container lift
• Container tilt
• Dumping
• Opening tailgate

It was a real trouble to make dump function work. It only allows to set a thin long cylinder, which is not enough to lift much. For the contest I left it that way, but generally it’s perfect with the small linear actuator; in the video I show both versions.

I love garbage trucks. Great job. I love the orange and yellow of the body work, and the functions work well.

Can you make the chassis a little stiffer for when you are pumping the pneumatics?

Great to see another garbage truck in the competition. The truck cab looks very good and the loading arm is simple and functional.

There are 3(!) beams and a panel between them already. The safe way is to hold the pump from down, but I just did not want to show my another hand there.

awesome model, I have been experimenting with a side loader for this competition too, and your take on it is really clever. Mine never got finished btw. Good luck in the competition!
