I started this one year ago. I was going to do a stop motion video about Rogue One (even before I had my reflex camera! There is here stuff recorded with a smartphone) and the build of the Death Star.

I began a new year in the university a couple of weeks ago and, before throw all of it away, I decided to use the sound from the new trailer, film some new stuff and edit everything to make my own version of the trailer.

I hope you like it! I put a lot of effort here.

Nice Work!  It is great to see the Rogue One trailer getting quality Lego trailers since quite a few of them on YouTube are garbage.  I like how you included work from your interpretation of what Rogue One would be like, and it makes sense.  I too am working on a trailer, and completely understand exactly how hard it is to create shot after shot, it takes a LONG time to get everything right.  A few of my shots are included at the 9:16 mark of this video:

I hope to finish this thing by December 1, which is going to take some hard work...

I really want to see your final work. It's sad we didn't reach the colaboration for this one. I think a combination of cgi and stop motion shooting would be perfect (I'm starting to learn about Element 3D to put some 3D models in my videos).

Wow, that looks like it must have taken an awful lot of time. It looks really good though, and covers almost every detail of the trailer. Nice job!

Thanks!

PS: (I couldn't edit the last post to add the quotes :sceptic:)

EDIT: Wow, it merges automatically.

Looks great! Ending is perfect

The ending is a little tricky.

I wanted the reflection in Vader's helmet, so I can't film the minifig just in front a green screen and add a painting of the screen with the orbits. So I made the painting of the orbits, I downloaded it to my phone, and filmed the minifig in front of the phone.

I really liked that shot. Thanks!
