Posted October 4, 20168 yr Here is my latest kinetic sculpture. It won the award for "Maddest" MOC at BrickCon this weekend! (The theme of the convention was "Madness"). Enjoy! Edited October 5, 20168 yr by aeh5040
October 5, 20168 yr 'Tis brillig! Excellent mimsy borogoves. Will make a great desk sculpture. Did you consider using different color connectors? BY the way, I wouldn't mind having a peak at the gear box. Edited October 5, 20168 yr by JGW3000
October 5, 20168 yr I just can't stop looking at it!!! Gotta count my no.3 and no.4 connectors :-) Congratulations on the prize! Edited October 5, 20168 yr by MajklSpajkl
October 5, 20168 yr Freddie Mercury sang "It`s A Kind Of Magic" and this is like kind of magic But when I saw video, I feel a little drunk after this hypnosis
October 5, 20168 yr Definitely gyring and gimbling in the wabe. Awesomely hypnotic and fully deserving of the prize I'm sure.
October 6, 20168 yr I saw this at BrickCon, congrats on winning! It is a hypnotizing MOC, and very well done.

I did think quite alot about different colors, but it is very hard to find enough of them... Here are a few pictures of the "gear box". It's really very simple... More here when moderated.

November 29, 20168 yr This is absolutely amazing. More than that, it motivates me to try something similar. I just love discovering new things to do with Technic.
November 30, 20168 yr Once again aeh5040, this is absolutely stunning work! I've decided to build one for myself, so first I've made an LDD version of it. This way it's easier to create a wishlist on bricklink, and building instructions can be made too from the .lxf file. Download it here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/AlphaZed/alphazeds-ldd-files There was only one issue, that I couldn't fit 4 of toves with the top, so I placed 4 axles separately, and also maybe the gear transformation from the motor is a bit different, but should work. Feel free to update the .lxf if you feel so. Keep up the great work! Z

They can be downloaded here: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/aeh5040/slithy-toves-kinetic-sculpture You are correct that the geometry is not mathematically perfect. I had to do some faking to make it fit in the LDraw file...
