I was in LOVE with the Fossil Museum and for sure thought that one would win.

Those giant dinosaurs that both failed, perhaps due to clashing with the Jurassic Park licence, were the bigger surprises to my mind. I imagine they would have gone down very well with kids (and, er, adults). The museum looked great, but its creator did note that the thing wouldn't pass Lego's requirements regarding stability. Perhaps they couldn't resolve it – along with any other reasons for it not making the cut.

I am so happy that this building is going to be built! I hope they don't change the look of the facade to get the number of pieces smaller. It is one of the details I am absolutely in love with!

If the price is going to be reasonable, I think it could happen that I buy more than one!

I wonder if the larger-than-usual Modular didn't open up space for a BIG detailed ideas set at around the typical modular price. That's what I'm hoping, anyway. Not sure how to fit it next to, er, the Palace Cinema? But lovely to see nonetheless.

Yup, this is going to be on my 'to get' list for sure. Happy with the result, even if a bit unexpected. But honestly, I crossed my fingers for this one. Hehe.

Just saw they selected this! I am very surprised but this is awesome. Shouldn't be too hard to incorporate into a town. I guess I will keep supporting the high piece count modular style buildings when submitted. Thought this would have been too elaborate for an official set.

I am thrilled to see this set, then see that there are add ons that could be produced such as a dock and a boat repair shop, very cool idea and really glad TLG stepped out and made it.  I wish they would re-release the very first Cuusoo/Ideas set of Shinkai as well, they didn't produce many and only in Japan.

It looks very real and the set number looks correct (on brickset it is 21309). 21309 should be the Apollo 11 and 21310 the Old Fishing Store.

I think it looks real. It looks really awesome! I said on reddit that it looks like a warehouse I have in my city  But depending on the price I might pick this up! Looks cool!

The picture looks like a photo of a screen. Maybe the website and catalogue production guys had a visitor with a handy phone? Anyway, looks like they've kept the original feel and look.  Here's hoping the inside remains as detailed.
