BMTHbuilder Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Lovely idea. . I'll be interested to try it out with Temple of Airjitzu. . To me it has a slightly similar feel. Quote

Those giant dinosaurs that both failed, perhaps due to clashing with the Jurassic Park licence, were the bigger surprises to my mind. I imagine they would have gone down very well with kids (and, er, adults). The museum looked great, but its creator did note that the thing wouldn't pass Lego's requirements regarding stability. Perhaps they couldn't resolve it – along with any other reasons for it not making the cut. Quote
AnkTales Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I love this project! I hope to be produced Quote
eve nightfall Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I am so happy that this building is going to be built! I hope they don't change the look of the facade to get the number of pieces smaller. It is one of the details I am absolutely in love with! If the price is going to be reasonable, I think it could happen that I buy more than one! Quote
Miro78 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 This is great! I was hoping this would win, but didn't think Lego would choose this one. Glad they did. Miro Quote
koalayummies Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Fantastic creation. Congrats on the recognition. This would be a really cool production set. Quote
parksroad Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I wonder if the larger-than-usual Modular didn't open up space for a BIG detailed ideas set at around the typical modular price. That's what I'm hoping, anyway. Not sure how to fit it next to, er, the Palace Cinema? But lovely to see nonetheless. Quote
connyx Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Yup, this is going to be on my 'to get' list for sure. Happy with the result, even if a bit unexpected. But honestly, I crossed my fingers for this one. Hehe. Quote
nana Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Wo, normally the Idea set isn't appealing to me. This one is a must-buy as long as Lego keeps its color scheme! Quote
snefroe Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I'm soooooo happy they picked this moc! several other mocs were pretty good as well, but this was my number 1! yes! Quote
Roebuck Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I wonder if they will include the new lobsters piece in the set.... Quote
NewTown Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Just saw they selected this! I am very surprised but this is awesome. Shouldn't be too hard to incorporate into a town. I guess I will keep supporting the high piece count modular style buildings when submitted. Thought this would have been too elaborate for an official set. sunhuntin Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 With the Batman Movies series coming with a crab and lobster, I wonder if we will see them here in different colors? Quote
Herky Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I am thrilled to see this set, then see that there are add ons that could be produced such as a dock and a boat repair shop, very cool idea and really glad TLG stepped out and made it. I wish they would re-release the very first Cuusoo/Ideas set of Shinkai as well, they didn't produce many and only in Japan. Quote
froggy95 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Any update on a possible release date? Quote
PrisonBrick Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 A picture of this set appeared on reddit... I don't know if it is fake or not... Catalog number is 21310?!? Quote
Kjellevirus Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) It looks very real and the set number looks correct (on brickset it is 21309). 21309 should be the Apollo 11 and 21310 the Old Fishing Store. Edited February 10, 2017 by Kjellevirus Quote
Ashnflash Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) I think it looks real. It looks really awesome! I said on reddit that it looks like a warehouse I have in my city But depending on the price I might pick this up! Looks cool! Edited February 10, 2017 by Ashnflash Quote
badbob001 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I hope the set keeps the option for a closed-back not always opened like a dollhouse. Quote
jus1973 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 The picture looks like a photo of a screen. Maybe the website and catalogue production guys had a visitor with a handy phone? Anyway, looks like they've kept the original feel and look. Here's hoping the inside remains as detailed. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Looks good. And very close to the original one. But it still looks like a MOC, not a set Quote

makoy Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 The image looks real... but where are the seagulls?? Also... Baseplate! Quote
