Posted January 7, 200817 yr Hi all, I've been perusing this forum for some time and have made one post, before discovering this intro section, so Hi from the UK. I'm mostly interested in town and city lego and contemplating getting into trains. At the moment I'm schooling my children in the arts of Lego and trying to integrate my existing collection, left over from childhood, with the new 'larger' scales, such as the town house and the 6 or 8 wide vehicles. Regards, Mark.
January 7, 200817 yr Welcome to EB Mark! 6 and 8 wide vehicles, much better than the unrealistic 4 wide! *y* Enjoy your stay.
January 7, 200817 yr welcome mark! you'll find many useful techniques to implement into your town here!
January 7, 200817 yr Welcome to EB Mark, it's great to see another Englishman on these boards.....we are few you know X-D
January 7, 200817 yr I am sure you will continue to enjoy this marvelous site, mark! :-) I hope you and your children enjoy the hobby as much as all the members on eurobricks! ;-) Edited January 7, 200817 yr by General Zen
January 7, 200817 yr I can't wait till I have kids old enough for lego!!! But first I gots to have kids for that to work. :-D But hello and welcome to your new favorite forum.
January 7, 200817 yr Author Thanks all for the welcome. It really is a great resource, I have picked up a lot already. When we get a bit further with the town, I'll post some pictures. I think the 6 wide vehicles are a good compromise. 8 wide is a bit big for the stuff we have already, (as I say mostly left over from my youth), but 6 just fits and is more realistic. I've built a couple of fire engines in 6 wide and managed (just) to cram four crew into one of them, which again adds to realism. Hope to be able to contribute more to the forum as time passes.
January 8, 200817 yr Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* I reccomend you hold off on trains; everything available at the moment is being replaced. :'-(
January 22, 200817 yr Hey and welcome! Enjoy your time here! Any old castle sets lying around...? Just curious X-D God Bless, Nathan

Welcome first of all! I don't like the 6 wide cars as although they are more realistic when viewed on their own, I think they are less realistic when placed on the road baseplates taking up the whole width of their side of the road.
January 24, 200817 yr Welcome to EB. Like *vader* said, it's always good to see more people from the UK.
