The Maestro Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 (edited) Now that war is approaching Eolas The Maestro has mustered a fine army of men, ready to rid his land of those blasted drow. Now that they are ready The Maestro has gathered a small representation of his army to strike fear into his opponents. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr The maestro in his war armour. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Foot soldiers and commander The back bone of the army, these soldiers and their commanders make up the majority of the army. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Archers Used to shoot down the opposition before the contact begins they are the second most popular troop. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr knight Knights are used to reinforce the front line, They are often found accompanying squadrons of foot soldiers. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Pike men Used at the very front line, pike men act as a spiky wall against the approaching army. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Light cavalry Useful for quick recon missions and ambushes they are trained to ride with as minimal weight as possible. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Heavy cavalry These tanks are used to break enemy lines and scatter weak formations. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Forest men Used to infiltrate areas where normal troops cannot reach they are silent and deadly enemies, chosen from only the best foot soldiers. Soldiers of Eolas by Jed cameron, on Flickr Guardsmen They are the only troop that was active all year round, they protect towns and villages and act as chaperones for high ranking officials. A friend lent me some minifigs and accessories so I decided to put them to good use and complete task one. I found building a small number of things for scenery and rearranging them for each shot worked well in this scenario as it was easier than building an entire moc for each different soldier. I don't think there is anything else to say so please tell me if im doing anything wrong, it's my first time posting a task. Hope you enjoy Edited October 8, 2016 by The Maestro Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Great group of warriors! I like the Forest Men most Quote
TitusV Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Very nice figs, I think the scattered pieces of walls and vegetation work quite well! Quote
LittleJohn Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Great looking figs, I especially like the forestmen The bits of crumbling wall and foliage are excellent too! Quote
Henjin_Quilones Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Good looking group! The rearranged bits of scenery are well-done and effective. My only criticism is that the light cavalry should not have longbows, as they are impossible to use from the back of a horse due to the size of the bow--only a man on foot can use them--so the smaller bows would be a better choice; and perhaps they shouldn't have armored horses, either, to allow for faster riding. But other than that, this looks great! Quote
Kai NRG Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Great collection of figs, and I really like your set-up with scattered grasses and stones and that wall in the background! Quote

Thanks Kai, the scattered stones and grasses were kind of used as a fill in for blank spaces, glad you like it. Quote
en_zoo Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 very nice figs! good to know such an army fights on the right side! ;) I second Henjin about the light cavalry, as well as everyone who likes the re-arranging of the landscape - very effective. I might suggest bigger shields for the pikemen, but that's just my personal taste ^^ Quote
