Batbrick Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Tks Andy for these sweet pics !!I love Batman & Robin jetpack !! They rock !! The figs are not new unfortunatly, wanted to see some new ones in there but I can wait (or not !!) I really don't mind the fact the buildings are not Lego, it adds to the esthetics I think !! The dark disgusting atmosphere of Gotham would not lok as good only Lego style IMO ;-) Regarding the script of the game, I would imagine it NOT including any missions from BB and TDK for a possible sequel :-P *yoda* Firstly, welcome back Yoda! *sweet* I hear you've been computerless lately. Anyway, I definitely agree with you, I don't mind that not all the buildings are made of Lego, the darg grime and grittiness of Gotham really wouldn't work that well in brick form. As long as many features are lego based, I'm happy! Also, we have seen a backshot of Harley Quinn somewhere, it appears she has a double-printed torso. I also don't think any missions would be BB or TDK related, but I do really hope we still get to use the Tumbler :'-) Batbrick Something! *wacko* Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Firstly, welcome back Yoda! *sweet* I hear you've been computerless lately. Tks ;-) I am still computerless though for now. I just crashed the entire hard drive so now I have a clean working computer - and I need to reput all the programs I lost in the operation (yada yada yada) painfull really |-/ Also, we have seen a backshot of Harley Quinn somewhere, it appears she has a double-printed torso. In this post ? really ? dang I must have missed it :-P On another note I am still suprise we haven't seen the actual MF version of HQ since there will be a jester in the upcomming castle advent calendar !! Something On !! *yoda* Quote

I'm not sure it is still there though, it may have been removed. It wasn't that great, just showed joker with harley's back behind him. I too am surprised we haven't seen her yet too, I look very much forward to it, she is one of my favourite characters *wub* Batbrick Something! *wacko* Quote

trooperdavinfelth Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 OK, does anyone know where the screenshot with Harley and the Joker was last seen? What website? I'm interested... 8- Quote

Brainbox Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I look forward to this, but wonder if I can afford it in such a brilliant year for lego. Frankly, I'm going to be able to afford it whether I can or not. I mean, it's Lego Batman, I can't get it after everyone else, especially if those people are non-Lego fans or non-Batfans (or both). I just couldn't live that down. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Yes, I looked in up in the Batman 08 thread, and while it did work for me then, it must have been removed from the gallery, as it now just says "IPB Image". Wasn't much to see anyway, the new jester hat mold gives away a lot more than that did. I look forward to this, but wonder if I can afford it in such a brilliant year for lego. Heres hoping the game has the Tumbler in it, that would seal the deal. Batbrick Something! *wacko* It's actually quite easy to see IPB images! Simply quote the post, then copy the link to the address bar at the top of the page, and Voila! Pics ahoy! The pics you posted were IPB images for me, but I saw every one of them through my process! X-O EDIT: Which page of the topic is it on? I looked from 16-21... Edited January 29, 2008 by trooperdavinfelth Quote

Thankyou, you have just made me realise the utter importance of gaining this set as soon, or before possible. It looks like I'm going to have to keep my crummy job for a while then, but it'll be worth it. It's actually quite easy to see IPB images! legomilk Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Here the pic's from Batman the game this summer in the shop. more. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=181098 Quote
Batbrick Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Thanks a heap as always Legomilk! Even better than the new pics is all that information on the game, theres 18 villain mode levels :'-) I simply HAVE to get this, thanks again Legomilk! Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Zarkan Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Great news, Legomilk! I have a feeling this topic may be merged with the older one, but still, thanks! ;-) One thing that kinda bothers me is how this particular site with the interview seemed to be taking lots of shots at LSW. "Not the deepest of games" and "lacking good platforming" doesn't describe LSW at all. Oh well, I guess not everyone likes it as much as we do! :-P Quote

Zarkan Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I agree there, it seemed like an exceuse to make fun of LSW. Oh well, it sounds like Batman has improved a lot anyway! Yeah. I was about ready to MAUL Gamespot when they only gave LSW II a tenth of a point higher rating than the original, despite all the improvements and new features (no pun intended). :-P Quote
Brainbox Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Thanks Legomilk. Villain mode, eh? How cool is that? I guess it was inevitable though, seeing as how the villains are as much a part of the Batman mythos as Bats himself. What else was in the article? Oh yes, vehicle levels. Well, that's always good, as long as we get lots of variety... and, yes Batbrick, by that I mean lots of Batmobiles :-D . Power suits as well. I suppose that could work, as long as they're good powers. Frankly, I just hope we see lots of cool levels, maybe one inside the Batcave itself (as well as Arkham and GCPD levels *wub* ), and a whole lot of rogues. Quote

I guess it was inevitable though, seeing as how the villains are as much a part of the Batman mythos as Bats himself. Very cool. I can't wait to play as my favourite rogues, I hope they all have their special gimmicks, though Two-Face would be a bit boring since you would just have him flip a coin and go whichever way X-D What else was in the article? Oh yes, vehicle levels. Well, that's always good, as long as we get lots of variety... and, yes Batbrick, by that I mean lots of Batmobiles :-D . Power suits as well. I suppose that could work, as long as they're good powers. I knew it! Batmobile obesesser you are! Thats great news though, just as you say the villains are as important to the mythos as Batman, so is the Batmobile. Power suits are pretty cool, seeing as it is a game afterall. Frankly, I just hope we see lots of cool levels, maybe one inside the Batcave itself (as well as Arkham and GCPD levels *wub* ), and a whole lot of rogues. That would be brilliant, I'd love an Arkham level in the vein of Miller's Arkham Asylum, but of course kid friendlier. It would be great to have a lot of rogues in one place hunting you. I love how the article mentions a dash through the Ace Chemical Plant, or killer Croc's sewers, they've definitely done their research and gone above and beyond expectations for this :'-) Do you think we'll see Two-Face or Poison Ivy in this? The game doesn't mention them, I would be sad if they were only unlockable characters, seeing as I make no attempt to hide the fact that two-Face is my favourite villain. Or should that be second favourite? (uh oh, your puns are getting to me!) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Andrex Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 Haha, I've thinked you've summed up all my thoughts entirely, but wow, this really does seem impressive. There's so much potential. I expect Two-Face and Poison Ivy will have their own important roles, they just haven't been revealed yet. Like Indiana Jones, there's still some time until release, and a lot to discover! Thanks for all of this! *wub* Quote
Brainbox Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 That would be brilliant, I'd love an Arkham level in the vein of Miller's Arkham Asylum, but of course kid friendlier. Don't you mean Morrison? As in, Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On A Serious Earth? Sorry, but I take my comics pretty seriously. And Morrison's British, so there's a bit of bias. Do you think we'll see Two-Face or Poison Ivy in this? I think it's likely we'll see a large number of villains. I think it was revealed a while ago we'd see Man-Bat, and he's pretty second-tier when compared to the likes of Two-Face and Ivy. Chances are, TLC will cram in as many characters as possible, just like they did with LSW and LSWII. Quote

Woops! :-$ I always get them two mixed up. I'm not a big fan of either really, and some of their character twists go in the same directions. Also, it was late last night, give me a break :'-( I think it's likely we'll see a large number of villains. Man-Bat isn't even second-tier, more like third-rate or C-list. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Andrex Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 Haha there were certainly a fair few characters in LSW. I think 160 odd in The Complete Saga, correct? I'm curious as to how this will be handled in Indiana Jones, but hey haha. For this, we'll probably have 10 types of thug/goon, a helluva lot of villains, alternate costumes for Batman and Robin, and some other important characters like Butler etc. Quote

That gives me a lot of hope then. Thanks for that information, I too hope to see alternate costumes and different gangsters and thugs. I think it was mentioned somewhere that Alfred was playable, and that his weapon would be pouring hot tea, I think :-D Indiana Jones as you say will be curious perhaps, more levels to compensate? Miller seems to have gone a bit weird with Goddamn All-Star Goddamn Batman and Goddamn Robin the Goddamn Boy Wonder. Unless you've read it, you won't get that. ;-) I think it was mentioned somewhere that Alfred was playable, and that his weapon would be pouring hot tea, I think :-D :-D That'd be quite a nice touch. It would certainly be in keeping with the comic element of the games, something which TLC/Travellers Tales does quite well. Quote

And I haven't read those, but are they the ones that feature the infamous "I'm the Goddamn Batman!" line? Anyway, I thought Miller went a bit weird with DKRA. :-D That'd be quite a nice touch. It would certainly be in keeping with the comic element of the games, something which TLC/Travellers Tales does quite well. I'd definitely like it too. I haven't played LSW much, at all, were pretty much all the characters unlockable? And those that were, was it just a skin, or did they have special character traits? I just realised Commissioner Gordon is mentioned in the article to, it will very interesting to see him, and would give me a little hope for a minifig product, even though a lot of LSW characters weren't made. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Andrex Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 Hahaha, pouring hot tea?! THAT'S GENIUS! :-D Oh I love these wacky ideas haha. As for LSW characters, there are 128 overall, not 160. But that's still a lot! I look forward to more bizarrities! -- Andrex Quote
