skelliesgang Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 i'm another proud owner of this set, i purchased it when it was on sale at the lego store for $60. it's truly a beauty! just curious, does any one know of links to MOC/MODs of this set? Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Thanks for this wonderful review. I feel happy when i read this :-) but i feel sad at the same time :'-( because i missed this set while its on 50% sales. By the time, i had enough money to buy, its gone *sad* Anyway, this is an good set to play with. Orignally, i will like to match with my Ninja sets due to its Oriental features :-D Quote
Asuka Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Thank you for that very fine review, TinyPiesRUs! *y* It Quote
pr0visorak Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Great review! I have the India set but I think this set is good too. Quote
Sandy Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I've been lusting after this set since the first time I ever saw it. It's just so damn rare and expensive that I still haven't gotten the opportunity to get it. I love practically everything in this set - the boardgame included - and the day I finally get this set will be a glorious one! The review is very nice, and it shows all the good sides of the set as well. Quote
Alldarker Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Reviving this topic back form the dead, somewhat, I am very pleased that I just bought this set MISB for €119 on e-Bay. Expensive, some would say, but I have wanted to get this set for ages. And I do remember this set being almost as expensive in the shops back in 2003-2004. I really liked the Orient Expedition sets, but only got the smaller sets (hmm, I see that 7413 Passage of Jun-Chi, which I've got, hasn't yet been reviewed...) and the 7417 Temple of the Mountain. This review actually made me want to get this set a whole lot more! Quote
Mörs Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 HOLY FLYING MONKEYS BATMAN!!! (Not really sure what to say here...) I AM SO UNSPEAKABLY AMAZED BY THE MECHANISMS LEADING YOU TO THE GOLDEN DRAGON, I ACTUALLY GOT SWEATY PALMS READING THE REVIEW!!! (I'm not joking!) This is the best Adventurers temple/building EVER! PERIOD! . <- Period! I was always impressed with the look of this set, but I would NEVER have thought the interior could be so ELABORATE!! ...Not to mention, the Chinese dragon is itself pretty interesting... just as the Chinese minifigs are. I would love to have this set now... Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 This is one of my favorite sets of all time, but it's unfortunately packed away in one of my many boxes because there's no room for it on any of my shelves! Fantastic review, I see a lot of people are surprised with how great this set is, but hey- I already knew! Quote
