Where's the "Other" option? For example, borrow discs off your mates and siblings and stick them onto your computer? X-D

I buy most of mine from the shops... and then encode it at 320kbs and play it using *****censored by Sinner; no free advertising on Eurobricks >:-( ***** . Downloaded stuff is generally 128kbs and I think it sounds horrid. :-X

During the early days of cds, the mid 80s, I bought a lot.

As time passed and music seemed to drift out of my personal tastes, I kept up with the remaining artists who were still staying true to what I liked and have, more recently, bought a handful of cds a year, tops. I've also had to replace some of those early discs, not because of poor care or scratching, but because Atlantic records (the primary culprit thus far) did a very poor job producing them and they're now literally deteriorating (held up to light, you can see through them like trying to make a cd in braille).

I would say that I've easily purchased 600+, so I don't really need much more to listen to than that.

Oh, and the missing option, which you'll say fits in 'shops' is to be given large quantities of them. On top of the aforementioned purchases, I've probably been given another 200 from a wide range of genres, though it's rare I find something in there that I love enough to keep it in regular rotation.

I don't do portable music, so I don't need to purchase individual encoded tracks.

What an odd question this was. |-/

Isn't limeware illegal? If so this is IMHO an inapropriate question/poll and it should be closed. It's like asking "Do You buy Your LEGO sets or do You steal them?"

Admitting to download music "for free" is not a smart thing to do on a public forum.

There is some music you can donwload for free, but I guess this option is also referring to illegal downloading of copyrighted material.

I don't think this thread is a very good idea and not really related to the core business of Eurobricks.

Therefore I've closed it.

Edit Bonaparte: TT was faster than me :-)
