What kind of clay is better to use with Lego?

I want to put just a bit in the foot of a minifig, for a stop motion video, but I don't know if the clay can damage a minifig.

My options are Blu Tack or playdough.

Playdough is fine.

I was going to say that I didn't know about the possible effects of Play-Doh, but Mr Greeble has answered that.  

With regards to the possible effects of Blu Tack, there is already a very recent thread about that in this forum.

I use double sided tape, much easier te remove later. But you need to find the right tape, so it doesnt lose its stickyness that quickly

I bought some playdough/plasticine for "school use". I guess that's soft enough. Just in case, I will put a 1x1 tile in the foot of the minifig.
