Bugbot2008 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) Disneys Atlantis the lost empire, I really liked that movie, it's one of my favourites from my childhood, I think it would've been a great theme if they did it back when it was released; the unique fun characters and the strong vehicle based narrative would heave made for a realy fun collection of sets Trailer: Edited July 13, 2015 by Bugbot2008 Quote
Felkin Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 How about a decent Ben 10 line? I don't mean those terrible Bionicle-style Alien Force things, but a proper wave of sets; the Rust Bucket, Mount Rushmore, Vilgax's ship, etc, with a Ben minifig in every set and his 10+ aliens spread out across the wave. They're rebooting the cartoon next year, so it would make sense as a tie-in, like the new Scooby-Doo line! Quote
neithan Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 A new series of CMF, Version: the Quentin Tarantino Universum ;-) Quote
legofanatic12 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I would also love a Nintendo theme (specifically Pokemon), and Shonen Jump (Bleach, Naruto, Dragon Ball). Bleach will never happen in LEGO because it's a matured anime show. Quote

I enjoyed the original Ben 10 line, but minifigs would be sweet. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) Bleach will never happen in LEGO because it's a mature anime show. Incorrect, you'd be really surprised at what airs as kids shows in Japan. I'd say that such a show would not be that good for Lego however. What we need is a show with lots of cool vehicles, or how about of all of the cool vehicles and mecha? One of my dream licenses would be a Legends of Anime series, with some of the most iconic vehicles and mecha from some of the greatest anime ever. It's completely pie in the sky, but that's what this thread is about, right? Imagine seeing all of your favorite vehicles in Lego form. I'm talking about the RX-78 Gundam, Kaneda's bike from AKIRA, VF-1 from Super dimension Fortress Macross, plus the Macross ship itself, a Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell, and more. For a specific series, as mentioned above, I'd like to see some Macross sets, from any of the series, or maybe all of them. At least, I'd like to see one of the Variable Fighters from each series, and then a proper, and transforming UCS SDF-1. However, I have tried to build a couple myself, and it might be difficult to implement in a good sized set. Other than that, I don't really have any series specifically that I want to see, just vehicles. Speaking of vehicles, I would like it if Lego got some licenses from heavy equipment and auto manufacturers to make some Technic models. I would really like it if Lego released a true Ferrari supercar as a Technic model, or maybe a BMW, or Mercedes. Or just about any supercar, really. I'd also like to see a fully licensed Terex AC-1000 crane, as an extremely large UCS Technic set, or maybe some of the venerable Gottwald cranes. A Kenworth license would also be cool, as would a Nooteboom or Goldhoefer license so that Lego could make a trailer. Edited July 20, 2015 by Saberwing40k Quote
fred67 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 This is an old thread and we've been through the discussion before, but this thread is not about what LEGO might possibly actually do - it's called "Dream LEGO Licenses" because it's what you'd like to see. And I want to add, after having a grand old "debate" on the efficacy of Lord of the Rings and it's "maturity," lo and behold, TLG released LOTR sets. So there you go - come up with whatever you'd like to see, it doesn't have to be realistic... it's "dream" licenses. Quote
barneynedward Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 How would a three stooges theme work? You've really only got six characters to work with. Quote
Bissspuren Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I have to agree with Bricktasia. Wes Andersons films are so wildly creative and colorful and would make for a wonderful Lego theme! Moreover I'd love to see Futurama and the cars from Mad Max. I could also Need some more Retro stuff like classic James Bond, the man from UNCLE or Sherlock Holmes. Quote
barneynedward Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 No... Addams Family, definitely. What would be wrong with lego making those themes I listed? Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) You know, I'd personally love to see an EarthBound line. Of course the game series is very niche, so I doubt it would ever be made. For those unfamiliar with the game, the series of sets could potentially feature an arcade, pizza place, caves, tropical islands and even underwater areas. But something that would be much more likely, would probably be a line based upon all of Nintendo's IPs. Instead of introducing just a couple of lines, probably Legend of Zelda and Mario would be made, I'd enjoy seeing a theme that encompasses many of their IPs. With more popular IPs getting more sets, and less popular ones getting less. Edited July 27, 2015 by Jacob_9821 Quote
Chase The Cop Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Something I would have really loved – but it’s too late now – and which would have cost nothing to TLG: sets based on the Lego City Undercover game. Yes we had one (60007), and I know that the City line, collectible Minifigs series and the game inspired each other, so bits and pieces can be found here and there. But how I wish they had done something like what they did for the Movie: with a series of minifigs (there are some classic characters in the game: Chase of course but also Dunby, Honey/ Sherry, Pappalardo, Fury, Huckleberry, Jethro and his pigs, Barry Smith….) and some of the MANY vehicles and places from the game (I won't annoy you with a list) released as proper licensed sets. ... I guess the answer is: all are MOC-able with a lot of patience Otherwise I'm content with what TLG got us so far. I don't buy all sets of a license anyway, just one or 2, mostly to have celebrity minifig cameos in my city Quote

cakio6203 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Personally, I actually would want to see some more cartoon based themes. All we have now is Scooby Doo and The Simpsons. Something like Nickelodeon however has an exception, because it has crossed over to the side of the Blok. How about..... Looney Tunes Doraemon(we need at least some foreign recognition) DuckTales (Wooh, hoo!) A proper Ben 10 line, with Minifigures Gorillaz(call me Clint Eastwood, with my Rhinestone Eyes) Video Game themes would be cool too.... Sonic the Hedgehog Just about anything from Nintendo Ratchet and Clank Crash Bandicoot You know, the usual. Edited August 16, 2015 by cakio6203 Quote
Tariq j Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I'd love to see Robocop, obviously the original, being an 18 rated, most kids may not have seen it, so I think the reboot would be good for Lego to base sets on. Quote
