Dr.Butcher Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 "Nightmare before Christmas" or "Corpse Bride" would be a nice theme. A bit spooky but also kidfriendly. Quote
Marckeyh Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Lord of the rings and The hobbit. So many locations and characters, could be as big as Star Wars! Quote
Vindicare Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Well, Family Guy and the Simpsons are a no way. Tolkien would be perfect! And Phineas and Ferb would be a nightmare! Sure, they could have a lot of sets, but it would all get very monotonous. I could also see a lot of Pixar, which would be very neat, IMHO. And Batman and Spider-Man are possibilities, but slight ones at that. Ones that I would love to see, but I know never will, are: -Spartacus: Blood and Sand. (I've never seen the show, and I am offended by the content from hear-say, but it would be nice) -HBO's Rome (Another that would NEVER happen) -Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels (these are a somewhat possibility, if they ever made them into films, or if the show was picked up again, as it is a Disney/ABC production, but still a long shot) -Tom Clancy (way too violent, but hey, who wouldn't want to see Jack Ryan, Ding Chavez, and John Clark?) There already was batman and spiderman..... Quote
OneSnowTrooper Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Star Trek... think about it: Jem'Hadar, Vulcans, Borg, Ferengi, Vorta, Founders, etcetc and same goes for ships...countless options Quote
jonwil Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Lord Of The Rings would be kick megablocks. So many wonderful weapons, armor pieces, minifigs, animals, buildings, locations etc. In order to do it justice they would need at least 5 or so new moulds for swords alone. Imagine all the battle packs: Rohan Rider battle pack Gondor battle pack Orc battle pack (multiple for the different kinds of Orcs) Goblin battle pack Elf battle pack Dwarf battle pack If done properly, it would be the biggest thing for Castle builders (both fantasy and historic) since castles switched from Yellow to Grey. Solscud007 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 One of my passions is Macross. I used to be at odds with Robotech but have sort of buried that hatchet. I like the idea that WB is producing a Motion Picture Live action Robotech movie. If it sees fruition, I hope we get to see Robotech legos!!!! Veritechs and Mospeada Cyclones would be awesome. Quote
Widdi Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I'd like to have some Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies licensed. I know this would be a hell of sets, but imagine especially if you take their 1978 movie "Zwei sind nicht zu Bremsen" Don't know if there was ever an english version made from this older Italian movie Ice cream Truck: Small set with a red 1920s looking truck, which holds just enough space for the driver and the Ice Cream in the Back 10€ Stock car Race: Big set with 3 US cars (one for bud, one for terence and an opponent), Tribune and Tower, about 8 Minifigs: 100€ Horse Race: Scene with 4 sulkys, stables,a tribune and 7 minifigs About 70€ Getting the fish: Small restaurant building with flipper table, gangsters, a gangster car )looking like 70s muscles), Bud's truck with trailer: About 60€ Bearded baby: House directly at a river or channel or whatever with interior and two stories, and 3 minifigs (Bud Spencer, 2 Gangsters): About 50€ Casino ship: Large ship (12-wide or more) with a small casino inside and a Boat (6-wide) with seats for 4 minifigs taking terence to the casino ship. Largest set with 10 minifigs and 120€ Following the Truck: Bud's truck with trailer and a small everglade boat. Includes 2 minifigs and about 40€ Boat race: Larger scene with two racing boats and Bud's truck with a boat trailer. Includes a tribune, two racing boats and bud relaxing. 8 minifigs 80€ Driving the nun: Charly's Peterbilt truck with trailer and a small bus stop (no roof, just the bench) including 3 minifigs (Bud, the nun and a child) 30€ Charly's new truck: Smaller set with the flatnose truck from the end of the movie and a sleeper cab with 2 minifigs. 20€ mFg Widdi Quote
KDog Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I'd love G.I. Joe LEGO sets based on the Real American Hero series from the '80s. Plenty of vehicles, bases and colorful characters from which to choose! Quote
MrCustomizer Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 That's a matter of opinion... there's the occasional "adult" humor, but most of it is just stupid; I agree with you about Family Guy (I mean, really... one needs only think of Lois in her dominatrix outfit... giggity giggity). I don't think that LEGO will do any tv show that involves any amount of adult humor. In Simpsons there is quite a bit of adult humor and even nudity on occasion. I don't, but then that's just me. And I have two kids who like the show... but when we were in the Disney Store the other day, they were completely uninterested in actually getting Phineas and Ferb merchandise. I don't think it deserves a whole line of sets, just a few. Like what they did for Spongebob. Doctor Who. Large scale technic builds for Daleks and Cybermen would be awesome.Minifig scale: The TARDIS, dalek pack, 11 doctors pack, Dalek saucer, Satellite 5, the Tomb of the Cybermen, there were so many episodes that this theme could last forever. AGREED. They could make inside and outside of the Tardis, a modular build, they could make sets from episodes like "Girl in the Fireplace", and "Blink". It would be SO awesome! Again they don't need a whole line, just a few sets would be enough. Finally, I want a Futurama theme. A technic Bender, PX ship, and Nimbus with minifig scale PX building, ship, Nimbus, characters, and sets detailing various parts of New New York would be amazingly cool, but the crowning jewel would easily be Robot Hell. The concept art alone for Robot Hell seems MADE to be interpreted in LEGO. As does the Near Death Star, come to think of it. I am a huge fan of Futurama, however it, like Simpsons and Family Guy, has adult humor in it. Especially episodes like "Love's Labours Lost in Space", and "In A Gadda Da Leela". I think that us customizers are skilled enough to make any Futurama set we want ourselves. Have you seen Pepa Quin's Futurama city? http://www.flickr.com/photos/pepa_quin/collections/72157624217868063/ ~MC Quote
KotZ Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 There already was batman and spiderman..... I know as I own some spiderman sets, but I posted in another topic which was merged with this one. I'm also referring to them making comebacks. Quote
Omicron Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I don't think that LEGO will do any tv show that involves any amount of adult humor. I guess you don't watch Spongebob. -Omi Quote
SilentMode Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Since we have the witch as an S2 minifig, why not a Wizard of Oz theme? It was recently its 71st anniversary or something like that. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Hmmmmm....classic childrens stories eh ? It would be more a Duplo theme than a Lego System one......but the time old story of the gold brick road....has merit as a theme.....you could use C3-P0 as the Tin Man ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Zzz Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 James Bond. I know it is violent but so is Indy and Star Wars. Ok, it's more realistic violence, I know. Ok, whatever, they never gonna make that. I just would love to see it... Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 What about the League Of Super Evil......better know as L.O.S.E., it's on Cartoon Network - pure crazy kids stuff - perfect for Lego ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
jonwil Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 What about the League Of Super Evil......better know as L.O.S.E., it's on Cartoon Network - pure crazy kids stuff - perfect for Lego ! I'm a conformist! ! Speaking of Cartoon Network, one show that could work VERY well in LEGO would be Codename Kids Next Door. Given that all their "technology" is made up of cobbled together bits of junk and common household/neighborhood items items (anything from a piece of wood right up to a school bus) I think LEGO would be a great fit. noname Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 The Chronicles of Narnia would be really cool: Lego centaurs, fauns, minotaurs and lions. The largest set will be the White Witch's Castle, with the White Witch, Edmund, the dwarf servant, the wolves and some statues. The second largest set will be the Mr. Beaver's House, with the four kids and two beavers. It'll be similar to Hagrid's Hut sets, but smaller. There will be also a set with the stone table, Aslan, the White Witch and some of her troops, There will be also a small set with Lucy, Tumnus, the lamp and the wardrobe, and some battle packs. Quote
soundwave Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Non bionicle Ben 10. Neopets is a very popular game plus lego still has the spongebob license(I think) robotech/transformers either one would be cool. Quote
Plissken Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Lord of the Rings would be cool with almost endless possibilities. Another nice theme would be James Camerons Avatar. Great vehicles and awesome creatures, even some playsets could be possible. Some other ideas, but very very unlikley, would be sets based on Firefly/Serenity and Buffy/Angel. The first one would only consist of vehicles. The second one only playsets with a few exceptions (Spikes Car, Oz's Van). I would buy the sets immediately Quote
SilentMode Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I stumbled upon this while randomly browsing - a competitor's Narnia theme sets. http://www.minifigcustomizationnetwork.com/node/927 Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Samurai Jack is actually my dream dream license. Movie's supposed to be coming out in the next few years, lets get it lego! Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 What if they made a theme based off of old John Wayne movies? --Kid's with mouths full of Palmolive, that's what. I think LEGO should make a theme based off of the Muppets. Quote
legowill1 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I would LOVE to see a Clutch Powers line! There would be some awsome minifigures, like, Clutch with Lego Logo on his left arm. Plus new pants! Peg with new hair, torso and legs! Bernie with New hair, torso and legs! Brick with New Torso and legs Artie with long lab coat printed onto legs Kjed with new Sir Alan head Prince Varen with new crown Sets: Lego Team Spaceship £19.99 Clutch, Peg, Bernie, Brick Lava Queen and Mine Mech £17.99 (Mine mech has turning plates on legs and is more posable) Clutch, Rock monster baby Agents/Clutch's Turbocar (Re-Release with new rear license plate) £9.99 Clutch, Bernie on bycicle Bridge £29.99 Clutch, Hogar, Prince Varen, Skelly, Bones LEGO Helicopter £5.99 Peg (with umbrela), pilot Artie's building craze £9.99 Aritie, Kjed (Would include some of the crazy models Artie builds in the film like lucky robot thingy from bad hair day and some other bricks and desks Would be an awsome line and I would LOVE it P.S: What kind of idiot would want a serial killer line?
